[Champion concept] Rogthar The Potions Failure
Rogthar The potions failure.
Rogthar was a simple man, working odd jobs to barely able to get by in life, until he saw a well paying job as an potion tester in a huge testing facility, this experiment was the super strength 2.zero, this potion was told to grant the one who drank it grand strength and the ability to eat most foods that would of been dangerous for normal consumption by strengthening the users stomach. This potion would allow the one who drank it to last a long time on the battle field without yielding to fatigue, hunger or most battle wounds. Rogthar being the poor man he was signed right up at such a cheerfully high paying opportunity... the results that came from the potion were not so cheerful... It turns out the potion worked he did gain the strength that were to be of result from the potion but the stronger stomach, that didn’t turn out as planned. His stomach grew a bright orange as he uncontrollably threw up everywhere, the resulting force forced his jaw open almost breaking it as the mixture spilled everywhere in the testing room. The scientists automatically sent guards to dispatch at their “failure”. The resulting panic caused Rogthar to trigger his mixture as the resulting explosion pretty much destroyed the entire room and the next few rooms, Rogthar escaped as quickly as he could from this, but he too suffered from the explosion.
Can’t draw so I summed Rogthar up here: Rogthar has a basic human shape but his stomach is bright orange and his mouth is bigger than normal. Rogthar uses his bare hands to fight and is good at bringing his foes down. The explosive mixture he can control quite easily as a part of him so he can easily make it exit him through the mouth. Rogthar has a male voice that sounds like it’s in a lot of pain and barely understandable as the explosive mixture from the beginning damaged his voice and generally his whole body looks like the result of a giant explosion.
Health: 8/10 Magic: When it comes to mana Rogthar actually has a counter that goes up to 20, it regenerates 1 every 3 seconds, this counts for how much of the explosive mixture Rogthar currently has stored in his stomach. Attack: 7/10 Difficulty:?/10 I have not done stats as i do not think i would be able to do them but i can do a basic sort of sense at where they should be. Attack damage: High Attack speed: low Ability power: zero, nothing, doesn't use ap. Movement speed: 330 Health: high Mana: zero, nothing, (20 counters for his explosives) Explosives regen: 1 every 3 seconds Hp regen: mid/high armor: mid/high Magic resist: mid/high
Passive: Explosive personality When Rogthar is brought below 20% of his health he can choose to explode dealing damage in an area around him but he dies. This also happens on death as he loses control of his mixture as he dies. The damage dealt at champion level 1 is 170 and increases by 20 per level at level 18 it does 530 true damage. (like a stand still version of kog’maws)
Ability 1: Planting Bite (costs 2) Rogthar bites the target enemy dealing physical damage and leaves a ball of his mixture on the enemy which slowly drips off over time. 120% of current AD. The explosive mixture does true damage and is able to explode on will but over time the damage will become less till the mixture explodes naturally at its lowest damage. Rogthar also loses control making it explode if the enemy moves a certain distance from Rogthar. Base Damage of the ball is 70 and increases by 20 per level resulting in 150 at level 5. The mixture explodes after 3 seconds and it loses 20% damage per second. (so after 3 seconds it will do only 38 damage at level 1 and 60 damage at level 5)
Ability 2: Explosives launch (costs 2 at level 1 and adds 1 cost per level, so level 5 costs 6) Rogthar quickly pukes out in a target direction multiple balls of his explosive mixture that can either explode on impact or on will depending on the summoner’s strategy. (basically the ability has 2 options they choose at the start) the balls are fired at where the cursor are pointing and are a slow moving skill shot. The balls are also still visible, not revealing the champion, but being generally visible as a floating balls of puke if it lands on a champion that's in the bush. At level one Rogthar pukes out 2 balls of his explosive mixture and the damage dealt by each ball is 35. By the time the ability is level 5 he pukes out 7 balls that deal 45 damage each Totaling 315. If the summoner chooses explode on will then the balls will deteriorate like the explosive ball on his Q ability but instead reduces by 15% per second.
Ability 3: Explosive armor (costs 8) Rogthar pukes his explosive mixture all over his body which explodes upon being hit with any physical damage taken dealing back direct true damage back at champions that attack him. The mixture also increases his armor and magic resist by 30% of his current armor and magic resist but for every 20 Armour and every 25 magic resist Rogthar has the % increase decreases by 1% (so if Rogthar has 100 Armour then his ability increases his armor by only 25%) . This ability always lasts 6 seconds. At level 1 this ability deals 35 true damage towards melee enemies and 25 true damage for ranged champions that attack him. At level 5 this ability deals 55 true damage back to melee champions and 45 back to ranged champions.
Ultimate: Controlled explosion (costs 12) Rogthar tears at his own stomach and explodes a lot of the current mixture dealing Heavy damage in a small (about 350 range) area around him but also damaging himself by the tearing. Damage dealt starts at 200 and Rogthar takes 100 damage and as it levels up the damage increases by 175 but the damage he takes also increases by 125. At level 3 total damage will be 550 true damage, for every point he has above 12 it adds 10 true damage at level 1 and 20 true damage at level 3 for a maximum of 710 damage at level 18. but Rogthar takes 350 physical damage the damage dealt to him can be reduced by Armour but at half the rate. (So if he resists 20% physical damage instead he resists only 10% from his ult) (if the champion makers at riot think its still a little too strong then a possible slow effect from damaging himself can also be a feasible balance)
I think he is generally balanced because yes he does a lot of true damage but it is limited, the ranges and speeds of his abilities make them dodgable or generally avoidable and the damage can not go higher than what it is currently set for his level. Only way he can become too strong is if you find a good tanky/ad build. Also cause of his glowing stomach he could probably even have a skin as a firefly or a lighthouse lol.
mechanics mixed in. Also the true damage is a little too much. I mean a lot of his abilities deal damage that can't be blocked by armor or magic resist, so it's a little op.
