Was just wondering if there was any chance RIOT would ever add in super expensive skins that truly make you stand out from the crowd, skins that you cannot get through hextech crafting. I understand not everyone would be able to afford skins between 1-10 grand but that's what makes you stand out isn't it? They have no impact on how you play the game either way. All they do is give you the satisfaction of feeling cool while you play.
You mean the new Hextech exclusive skins? Which could take a couple hundred dollars to get, or a long ass time if someone wanted them free.
Are you asking them about making a skin that basically cost 1-10 GRAND? I highly doubt they would even consider that as it wouldnt make sense business wise to waste all that time and effort to release a skin that expensive that maybe a handful of people would buy just to feel special. If anything SSMotzer is right. Hextech does that right now since there are some skins that are only available through Gemstones that to some that can be hard to get as its all random if you get one or not through opening a Hextech Chest!
Maybe not a full 1000$, but something like the 500$ golden mechs from MWO would be nice to see once in a blue moon.
i dont know if you were implying by saying they have no impact that they should make your champion better, but if you were thats not gonna happen because riot is against pay 2 win along with pretty much everyone who plays the game, and skins arents supposed to do anything OUTSIDE of "make you look cool", the whole purpose of skins are to be cosmetic aka purely for looks so the most you'll get is better or smoother animations like spirit guard udyr
