Riot Confirm me Why is ranked still up after season ended

If you guys are gona say because mmr well last LAST season I got to gold 3 and was placed on to silver 4 I believe my mmr was high ive been gaining 27 lp and losing only 13 when I was in gold 3 I say my mmr on op.gg and it said its like 1570 or some thing like that don't remember (2 years has passed).. I need riot to confirm and they should really let us know that the reason ranked is still up because so we can get our mmr higher or people are just going to waste there time if its not true. That's riot job.
