Kayle Kayle, The Guardian Angel

Concept: Kayle has always felt like a all-in champion enters a fight but rarely exits it. Alot of this concepts kit revolves around staying in battle longer to have more influence. By applying stacks with abilities, the effects of her abilities should be significant.

Passive: Light of Divinity Abilities applies stacks of Light of Divinity to enemies and allies, lasts 15s until new stacks are applied. Allies gains (4%) of your bonus armor/magic resistance per stack (Max 6 stacks). Enemies gets (4%) of thier armor/magic res reduced per stack (Max 6 Stacks).

Q: Divine Judgement Light of Divinity can apply up to (2/3/4/5/6) stacks per unit. Press: (14/13/12/11/10)s cooldown. Cast a small area on the terrain that bursts after 1s and deals (50/70/90/110/130 + 20% AP + 20% AD) magic damage to targets. Applies a stack of Light of Divinity to allied and enemy champions. Hold (28/26/24/22/20)s cooldown, can move, slowed by 30%, but cannot attack during channeling. Charges up the aura of kayle's divinity that increases in size for up to 3s, consuming a stack per 0.5s. When the Divine Judgement bursts, it will consume the stacks of all targets and apply certain effects. Enemy champions are blinded for (0.5s per stack) and takes (30+ 10% AP + 10% AD) per stack of magic damage. Allied Champions are healed for (40+0.15%*AP per stack)

W: Wings of Grace 20s Cooldown Range (600/700/800/900/1000) Cast on Enemy: Kayle gains a decaying shield of (60/80/100/120/140 + 30% AP) over 4 seconds. Kayles next Basic attack will deal (100% Bonus AD) extra damage and slow the target by (20/25/30/35/40%) for 2s. Cast on Ally: Ally gains a decaying shield of (100/110/120/130/140 + 40% AP) and applies a stack of Light of Divinity Kayle also gains (30/35/40/45% + 15% Bonus AD) decaying movement speed toward the target.

E: Righteous Fury (Applies on-hit effects) (14s cooldown) Kayles next (2/2/3/4/5) basic attacks gains (75 per attack stack) range and applies a stack of Light of Divinity in a small area. The area keeps increasing in size (100 radius * attack) per attack. and deal an additional (10/15/20/25/30 + 7.5% AD + 3% AP per attack stack) magic damage. During Righteous fury, each attack deals (15*Light stacks) true damage to the main target.

R Intervention (120/100/80)s cooldown. Range: 500 Knocks back enemies within 300 radius of the target. Shields Kayle or an ally for 1s from all damage + (0.5s per stack of Light of Divinity)

Gameplay Thoughts:

Kayle had a very basic ability setup which could both attac, but also protec. By forcing kayle to initiate combat more closely before actually being able to attack from a distance, could give some more exciting gameplay.

As Attack Damage: The main playstyle of Kayle as a ADC is to go for her W and E. A simple chase and destroy style that scales with AD mostly. She relies alot on her Auto attacks here to make most of the damage. Her R with the added Knockback is the best disengage and but also engage as it forces melee champions out of range. However reducing the base duration to 1s saves you only in small bursts. Her W is meant as a chasing potential, thats why the extra damage and Movement speed scales with AD. The shield scales with AP to focus more on supportive abilities. Her E has low power early on, but is meant to be really powerful for both Farming and effects later on. As the radius and range keep increasing with each attack during the Righteous fury, it makes her E alot stronger in team fights, as she can apply on-hit effects on an area.

As Ability Power: using AP, Kayle could work as a combination of Defence and Damage, but only with more setup. She takes on a more defensive and supportive role due to this. She can still deal alot of damage when the stacks are built up. but she has a harder time to chase.

As Jungler Kayle in the jungle is a bit harder to farm, but she gets alot stronger in the end game. Her E definately makes more sense to max for clearing larger camps. But her W is pretty essencial to preform Ganks in lanes, as its a chase and slow, and also can provide a shield for the laner. Her Q usually strengthen most of her abilities, but isnt a primary source a damage.

As Support The strongest ability as a support will always be Q due to the armor and healing it can provide by increasing the max stacks. Ap will also be another strong source for providing defence for you AD carries. But building tank instead of attack speed and AD provides a much better supportive role for her kit. The Q is very important as a support as it buffs the duration of R significantly (6 stacks of Light gives 4 seconds).

Everything is obviously just a concept, the values have to be taked a bit with a grain of salt, as balancing really isn't something that can be made up on the spot. I really wanna hear thoughts of compromises in the abilities and stuff to make it a bit better.

None of the above as far as the poll goes, tbh. The problem with Kayle in her current state IS her lack of identity. She needs to not be such a min-maxer in order to be a successful champion. Rather, she needs to have one MAIN role type.
