Some "Fixes" to Illoai from a thinker

So I'm excited for the changes upcoming in 6.11 for Illoai. The new buffs miss the point of what truly makes Illoai weak in the current meta and since her release: her passive. Now I get Im not in high elo, but hear me out before completely dismissing my point.

Until the user has control of when and where her tentacles spawn I feel she'll always be so easy to out play. Not to mention her tentacles themselves need a buff. Maybe make them 3 or 4 hits. What if they couldn't be destroyed for a few seconds. I feel like this what she's missing. She's hard to play, but I've never felt she lacked damage when her tentacles are up. Her skill shots are slow so they take good aiming/setup/prediction to lane effectively. So I think I'm the right hands she's powerful and oppressive in theory. But And if you jg her passive is rarely available to be placed in a spot that's worth using. Yet the only time they feel good is when I could land an ult. I feel like she's so reliant on her ult. And her ult has such a small radius that even that is hard to land effectively I feel a slight range increase would help as well. Not much, but a slight boost to range would help. Maybe You could make it so you could hit your ult and then W for a nice combo, but maybe that's too much.

I just think riot needs look into her passive and changing the way the tentacles take damage. I just feel like until then she'll always be bad into more comps than not. Ideas? and maybe after 6.11 this sort of thing wouldn't be needed. But I'm fearful she'll be irrelevant!

i have no problems putting them where i want, even for tp ganks

I wish ranged hits took an extra hit to kill them.

She can feel reliant on the ult sometimes, however, when i'm getting ganked or am doing a 1v1 or sometimes a 1v3, a good E on the bigger threat with 2 tentacles nearby is enough to kill people trying to engage you if you combo the QWE right. I actually dont use my ult as often in lane because most people try and bait it out anyway.

edit: the slow change on the E will probably be the biggest thing i'll notice
