20 min Leaverbuster - Are you kidding me?

Hey guys. So I guess I'm unfamiliar with the penalties of the leaver buster system. It's so random it seems sometimes, can't tell if it's cause I get reported. I wish you could get a notice in your email or something as to exactly what happened - auto vs being reported .

Regardless, I went to play a ranked game before work this morning. Found a game, picked a champ, and let the game load. And it bug splat basically. I got a network error I've never seen before, and of course I couldn't recreate for a screenshot. But the game stopped loading for me at 77%, and the the mouse went to windows and was no longer the gold hand for league . When that happens it normally is effed, and I waited for the busplat. It never came so I had to restart my whole comp. I decided not to even bother joining the game to be 6 levels Behind to lose a ranked game. Come home and I'm on a 20 min ban.

What can/should I do? I mean I think a lot of players agree with me, I'd rather take a remake than have a teammate show up super late connecting to game. Showing up 6-7 mins late to game can easily have the whole Game thrown out of whack, hence the remake system.. just don't see why I should Be banned 20 minutes for it. Seems something more worthy of actually afking during the game, rather than set my team back - especially if you know a game is going to be remade if I can't join before remake is an option. Maybe add the ban for having it happen more than once? Not trying to whine, 20 minute isn't the end of the world, but just didn't seem Justified.

Didn't know what else to do with my 20 minutes anyways than to come here and see what was up. Lol Thank you!

so it takes 100's of games to get out of low priority que? long story short if your computer like mine has a random issue in game causing it not to respond and the game gets remade, i now have to wait 80+ minutes to play 5 games, and play 50+ games to get removed from lpq, is this a video game or a lifetime commitment, its honestly easier to raise your credit score than to get out of lpq and i honestly thing thats bullshit.. but then again it my fault for constantly afking every single day in every single game even my last afk was more than 3 months ago... riot needs to work on a new system... tbh, like someone really sat there and decided to make someone wait 20 mins to play a game that lasts on avg 40 mins..... people have lives and this lpq status caters to those who have a lot of time to spend behind a computer than those who dont

Honestly, it's just 5 games. Might just be me being a no-lifer but I don't think it's that bad. Just my opinion, though.

Thats why i stop to play this stupied game.Bcs some kids report you without reson and you have to wait 2 h to play normal game again ! FU riot

This is wrong. I have to spend 20 minutes before FIVE games because my connection was faulty for one? When I do not have a history of AFKing AT ALL and it ended up being some weirdness with xfinity that I had no control over? I UNDERSTAND if I did this in multiple games. But a single game. A single time. And I reconnected throughout the game.

This is absolutely horrible.

Yes, I do think there SHOULD be some type of punishment for people leaving games. BUT NOT THE FIRST TIME THEY'VE DONE IT IN YEARS.

Fine make me wait for 5 minute before two games. Like "Hey don't do that again or it will be much worse. ;)" This is absolutely unbelievably criminal.

I have kids(and I've never AFKed because of them because I SET ASIDE TIME FOR A MATCH) and when I set aside aforementioned time for a match I don't have an extra 20 minutes for something that has only happened one time. So why can't the leaverbuster see that it never happens and say, if you don't AFK or leave in 3 months or even 6 months give you a lighter punishment?

Now I have to stay up AT NIGHT while my kids sleep and wait in 5 of these queues so that when I actually want to play a real game during the day while they are preoccupied I'm not stuck in an abnormally long queue.

Honestly I don't feel like having connectivity issues should be punished anyway but I suppose there's no real way to tell whether someone left or just connecting problems. But I KEPT logging back in whenever I lost connection.

It was only one game.

I am absolutely sick to my stomach over Riots disdainful approach to this issue.

i understand yestarday i got banned for leaving game cuz my internet crash 5 games 20 minutes but I GOT BANNED FOR BEEING AFK ON PLAYERS AGIANST BOTS ON LAST MATCH !!! WTH man this is so unfair NOW I HAVE TO PLAY ANOTHER 5 GAMES 20 MINUTS!!! if there would be some one that afk in bots agaisnt players i would just get happy less palyers more kills can you please do something with this.

The sad part is......the electricity cut off before i played and i was very hyped for the game my mood was over 9000 :D but my luck struck again the electricity was shut down for about 2 hours before we fixed it perfectly like man we died fixing it,i logged back to league and, i was banned for 5 matches for 20 mins........... ;-; fml man*[zombie-nunu-bummed]*

unlucky me I was in a game and my dad come to take to a place and the laptop had shut down because battery got low when we went there I tried to reconnect but the game keeps crashing and I got 20 mins

The fact that you HAVE to play a game to get rid of a leaver buster is insane. Let's say I was in a 5 man party and they all waited for a 20 min queue but someone had to leave, so they stopped the queue, that automatically resets the whole 20 min queue making it a 40 minute wait. It's like a torture system. Also, my ping was very unstable the other day and I went to restart my wifi router. I come back, finish the game, and I say I get 5 20 minute wait queues because I was AFK. If we have a legitimate excuse or problem, please do something about this stressful "Leaver buster".

Ye man im pissed off too , i had to go to my uncle to hospital as he wasn't feeling well and i left for 1 match and got a 20 min leave buster . I mean im not saying that it is bad thing , at least just give me leavebuster for 1 match ryt guys?

I agree with this. It's pretty stupid but riot needs to accept the fact that this is a GAME and it's not something huge. Idk but people take this game WAY to seriously. In the end, all they're playing is a game. Wasting your time as a penalty for leaving a game for something is a terrible punishment. Especially if you need to leave for an emergency or something.

I hate Riot sometimes. I disconnected because Riot's servers are fucking awful ,and I have to wait 20 min for 5 games because of Riot's bad servers. I really want every króna that I spent on this garbage game ,back.

Depending on the champ you chose, you could have joined and played passively using your CC until you leveled

The only way to lower your leaver status (which will result in lower or no penalty the next time you leave) is by playing games without leaving. You'll receive a notification when your status has returned to normal for this.

Being reported or automated, it all points to 1 thing.

You AFKed and caused your team mates to play at a disadvantage.

to stop it, STOP AFKING !!!

btw, clicking around the fountain is considered AFK.

It happens to me. My pc got down when I play league often. It happens around every 4~5 games. I reported issue and I fixed it by instruction.(using hextech repair tool). But it didn't work. I palyed one today and my pc got black screen and I restarted and reconnect. Then the black screen thing happened again. The result of it, I'm waiting 20 min with my friends. This black screen symptom have happened since 2017 updates. It never happened before season 2017 updates. I'd better quit this game.
