Lore Creation

I have found a great need in the Concepts and Creations boards for thematically-rich lore and I seek to address this problem. I have decided that under the following conditions, I will write lore for anyone who asks.

  1. I do this for pleasure, not money, so I reserve the right to decide not to write a lore in a scenario that defies the Universal Rules or if I am unable to write on the topic for whatever reason (ie. Writer's block, schedules).

  2. Criticism must be constructive, and I, as the writer, may decide whether or not to change the piece.

  3. WRITING IS NOT INSTANTANEOUS. Do not expect an immediate response. As for myself, I will not take more than a year to address your request (Some of my books that I am writing have taken 4 years), and I will give a notice if I accept your request.

  4. I do not require a credit, but I do wish to see whatever happens to my lore, and I would greatly appreciate a link or the like to whatever you will use my writing for.

"Ok"Rammus . Now that that's out of the way, here are some things that I would like to read in order to better know what to write (Not required, but preferable):

A: Affiliations -Upbringing -Allies? -Enemies? B: Behavior -Thoughtfulness -Sympathy -Conviction C: Condition -Appearance -Defining features -Sanity D: Desires -Pleasures -Greed -Sacrifice (Willingness) E: Environment -Origin -Place of Event -Current Location

Also, I can write from almost any desired perspective, but be wary when suggesting other Champions.

Thanks for reading!

Cool. This forum needs professionals who can write or draw stuff for other people. I personally made two lore concepts (theoretical places in lore where new champion could be from).

You can use these if you want: 1, 2, 3. Nobody else were interested in using these locations, so maybe you would like to.

Good luck on lore creation.

Hi! ^_^ While I am not looking for someone to write lore for me could you critique some lore I plan on writing later on? I plan on creating a concept when I finally have some time and it would be awesome to have a real author give me some pointers:)

Hey! Sorry for the delay but I was busy with finals and college:/ Anyway if you're still reviewing lore here's a quick tibit i wrote. Ths is my first time doing something like this so sorry it it sucks XD.

I'm also working on a short story similar to how riot does it so I'll have that soon. Anyway here's Avlon, The Thousand Swords!

“They told me that this dream I follow is nothing but a sham…… They told me it’s nothing more than a past long gone…. They asked why do I follow this dream?

Because here I stand.” -Avalon, The Thousand Swords

Those who invade the lands of Demacia must deal with a multitude of scenarios ranging from dealing with legions of knights to the abnormal wildlife to groups of powerful heroes. But perhaps one of the most bewildering scenarios for a raider would be to run into Avalon, The Thousand Swords. On their way to the destination the raiders would encounter a field of swords ranging from thin and graceful rapiers to hulking brutish great swords, and on top of this “hill” stands Avalon. Those who aren’t taken back by sheer number of swords (potentially for the taking) would realize that Avalon does not look like a Demacian…. In fact if they weren’t in Demacia they would’ve assumed this man to be Noxian….

Avalon is a man of Noxian blood; his parents were refugees from Noxus who in their desperation thought aid from their greatest enemy, Demacia. Amused by this the Demaicians granted the couple a place on the border of Demacia, it was a dangerous place filled bandits and wild beasts but the couple happily accepted and it was here along the shadow of Demacia that Avalon was born.

Along its shadow Avalon was told of great stories of Demacia: how it was a place where anybody who wanted to do good was welcome, how it was a land of brave and noble heroes, how anyone could ascend to greatness. With these stories in mind Avalon dreamt of being a great hero of Demacia, his parents were against but Avalon always had that dream in his heart. When war raised its ugly head destroying everything he had known he followed the only thing he had left, his dream. Avalon answered Demacia’s call to arms and joined as a soldier.

To Avalon’s joy he was set aside to become part of “special” forces that was to learn magic and act as elite force in the army. Unbeknownst to him this force was an experiment where peasants deemed unfit for battle were pushed aside and would forge mana based weapons but to Avalon it almost seemed his dream was coming true that he was on his path to become the hero he always dreamt of.

And so Avalon trained, through sheer dedication and will Avalon was the only one of the 400 recruited peasants to master turning mana into weapons (by then the experiment was considered a failure, the training rate was abysmal and the weapons created were unstable and only usable by the owner which defeated the whole purpose of the experiment.) Though he was never taught combat (something that confused the young Avalon) he would spy on the training regimen of nobles and practice in his own time eventually becoming a fairly decent swordsman. The nobles in the training facility would often laugh at him and make fun of him. But Avalon didn’t care. When the time came he would show that he was capable of becoming a hero.

And his chance came. Noxians raided the training facility and while the nobles ran Avalon created a field of swords for others to use and even though nobody stood beside him he held his ground cutting down any Noxian who tried standing up to him. And there Avalon experienced war for what it was, as Avalon cut down the first soldier and as blood splattered his hands a thought occurred to him. In what way was this noble?! It was horrible, it was disgusting, it was…..wrong……. But Avalon kept cutting down the soldiers to protect those behind him and believing he would at least be recognized as a hero. When the dust clear and the awards for bravery were being handed out, Avalon stepped forward believing this was his moment. Only to be rudely shoved back into the crowd, his peers shouted out in complaint and a few of his teacher tried to object but he was denied any recognition. Instead the nobles who ran, who had jeered him were given rewards for bravery. This isn’t right…….. This isn’t right!!! Thought Avalon, how was this right?! How had he not proven himself a hero?! He had saved so many, he had fought, he had bled, how was this happening!?

At the same moment the Noxians had returned and stormed the camp once more. And once again Avalon held his ground running to the top of the hill and creating as many swords as he could. And there his dream shattered as the nobles were prioritsed and the peasants were left to die all to be cut down. People he held as heroes ran for their lives instead of standing bravely. And he was left alone on his hill of swords surrounded by dead Noxians and Demcians. And once again he had nothing left but a dream, a shattered and broken dream.

At that moment Avalon had nothing not even a dream to keep him going. He created one last sword, something he was once so proud of and was about to take his own life when the most perplexing thing happened. A yordle appeared a small yordle with a huge hammer and blond pigtails appeared among the hill of swords. She said she was looking for a hero.

“They’re all dead.” The broken Avalon replied.

The yordle looked down but quickly brightened up. “What about you! Yeah! You look like you could be a hero! I Think?” She replied

“I’m no hero……”

‘Why not? Anyone can be a hero! Well not really anyone….But most people can!”

She then went on telling stories about Demacia, about it being a place how it was a place where anybody who wanted to do good was welcome, how it was a land of brave and noble heroes, how anyone could ascend to greatness, the very dream that had been shattered.

“And what if this Demacia doesn’t exist?” Avalon on the verge of tears replied.

The yordle hesitated at first but after a bit of thinking “Well ummm…. I guess I would make it so it does exist?”

Avalon didn’t think the yordle knew what she was talking about but he still found meaning in her words. Even if his dream was fake it didn’t mean it couldn’t become a reality. And on that hill of swords Avalon found his resolution. He thanked the yordle but turned down the hammer, he wasn’t a hero yet and he didn’t have much use for a hammer he had enough swords already (which confused the yordle since he was only holding one).

And so Avalon stands tall on his hill of swords following his broken dream to prove that his Demacia can exist; that it can be a place for everyone that wants to do good, that it can be a place where great heroes reside, that it is a place where anyone even a lowly Noxian can ascend to greatness. He does this by still follows his old dream trying to prove to Demacia that despite what it has become that he still can become a hero. He hopes by doing this he can prove that the Demacia that the Demacia the little yordle described still exists. Many have challenged and questioning him how does he know that this dream can exist? And to that he has four words.

“Because here I stand.”
