Concept of New Ranking Ladder Without LP

It's just an idea, but would it not be easier for players from bronze-diamond to have a "5 win system" instead of the LP system? It would involve 5 wins to get to promos and then 2 wins to reach the next sub-tier (Gold II to Gold I, Bronze III to Bronze IV) and 3 wins to reach the next tier (Plat I to Diamond V, Bronze I to Silver V) instead of getting an average of 20 LP per game which makes it 5 games to reach promos. This would also benefit by the fact that games give various LP such as some games give you 20 LP but the next one might give 19 LP which makes you end up at the painful 99 LP.

I know what you're all thinking: "Oh, what if a Platinum I gets free 5 wins from a Gold V?" Well, why not just make it so you can only duo/dynamic with people from the same tier? It solves the problem of having a random Gold in your high tier Platinum games and so.

As I said in the beginning, it's just an idea to stop the frustrations of players who have the "+19 lP syndrome". Drop a comment giving feedback if you can, and thank you for reading.

The problem isn't the duos/dynamic queues with lower/higher people. The problem is that MMR and Ranking are separate things, and this system has zero means of tying them together at all. And keep in mind, matchmaking uses MMR and NOT ranking to put teams together).

LP gains aren't static. And I doubt 20LP/win is average. If your MMR is considerably lower than what's expected for the ranking you have, you gain far less LP for a win than if your MMR is considerably higher than expected for your ranking. This forces players to actually get closer to an appropriate MMR for their next ranking (if their MMR is lower), and allows players who are much better than their ranking to rocket up through the rankings quickly.
