[Champion Concept] Kubebear, Revamped
Kübebear The Tainted Hero “I once wished for freedom, now I wish only wish for havoc!”
Inspiration: I love Volibear with all my heart, that being said, I feel that he alone is the only Ursine is sad. So I decided to make him a brother. This is my 4nd draft so if you guys like it I'll keep adding to it. Eventually I hope riot notices. Kube is Estonia for Spark. I change most of the abilities every time so if you like an ability, tell me and I will keep it and try to improve it. I also change the lore so if there's a concept you like in there and want it to stay, tell me and it will. This is my last draft till the summer. Since I go to college it takes all my free time. So I am sorry but this is not the end of Kube though. I am working on a drawing but since I am a horrible drawer it is taking awhile.

Note: Revised most of it but kept the general concept. Lore: Kubebear was an orphan in the Ursine village. He met Volibear and quickly adopted the younger Ursine as his brother. They then went on to create mischief as any hotblooded youth have. Voli and Kube had very different views and got in many fights over this but through there disputes they forged an unwavering bond. Kube had a love for adventure and ventured out of the village on many occasions, bringing back many curious objects for him and Voli to wonder over. A few years passed peacefully for Kube until he ventured too far into the unknown, suddenly Kube was viciously attacked by a band of villagers from a nearby tribe. The tribe has always been very peaceful and so had caught Kube off guard. Being beaten inches from death, Kube unleashed his pure will to survive and slaughtered these villagers. He never noticed the shards of ice that were imbedded on there backs and he didn't leave any survivors. He returned to his village and told the elders. They had no choice but to banish Kubebear to preserve the peace. So he left the Ursine, much to the dismay of Voli. He wandered Runeterra quite joyfully in search of an answer, from the tribes of the Freljord, to the Yorlde city of Bandle, to the Serene Garden of Iona. He continued to collect unique objects in the hopes of showing them to his younger brother. His best prize was a giant sword he found by an unmarked grave in a swampy forest. It only had the inscription “It chooses its owner.” Unable to find a concrete answer he returns to his old village to visit Volibear. He sneaks back in and easily finds his old friend but Volibear has forgotten who Kube is. Grief-stricken, Kubebear leaves the village for the final time. Outside the village he is confronted by an old lady who senses his despair and offers him a deal. “Destroy the Ursine council and I will offer you the power to bend someone to your will,” she said. Kubebear pondered for a long time and it looked like he would accept but refused in the end. The old hag grows furious and tries to force Kube to agree but Kube quickly pulls out his sword. “Who are you?!” Kube demands. The hags voice changes into a clear and deep tone and her body melts away to show a lady in clothes that look like they are made of ice. “Your death, bear!” she answers. She lunges spells at kube and keeps him at bay. Unable to land a blow Kubebear quickly becomes fatigued. Kube launches himself in a last ditch effort at the witch, his claws catching her eyes, blind the witch. She retreats and curses the exhausted Ursine, embedded his claws with a dark magic that threatens to taint him. Not having a home to go back to or any idea for a cure he sets out truly defeated. As the months passed with no luck his taint spreads and comes close to consuming his entire being. Right then his dormant sword wakes and absorbs enough of the taint to save his life but not enough to stop the decay of his mental state. He is now unable to be separated from his sword as it sustains his being. His good intentions twisted, he ravages Runeterra while combating his inner demons for control. He now sets his eyes on the League of Legends, for his vengeance against the witch and the brother who forgot him.
Play style: Kube is made to survive abuse. His passive makes him really hard to burst down, while his skills make him able to close gaps and damage enemies. He is able also save people from skill shots.
Note: Changed every ability. Kube's Passive, Survival Instinct: Passive Cooldown: 130 seconds When Kube falls below 30% health he regenerates 110% of all damage done to him by enemy champion abilities for 4 seconds. If Kubebear can kill an enemy champion while Survival Instinct is active, it will lower the cooldown by 10 seconds per kill.
Passive Breakdown: The damage includes magic, true, and physical damage types. This can be stopped by the summoner spell ignite but not any abilities that stop healing since it absorbs it. Though it absorbs the damage, it does not absorb any crowd control, slows, or debuffs so those can still affect Kubebear. It only absorbs damage from champions abilities so any minions, monsters, pets, towers, or auto attacks can still damage Kubebear. The cooldown starts the second the ability is triggered.
Kube's Q, Tainted claws: Active Cost: 35 mana Cooldown: 11/10/9/8/7 seconds Kube swipes his claws in a ranged attack in any chosen direction, dealing magic damage in a swipe formation in front of him and slowing any enemy hit by it by 20/30/35/40/50%.
Ability Breakdown Q: Basically is is almost an AOE but it is only one swipe. As it can be swung in any direction it can help change direction, it also resets his auto attack. As it is ranged it can attack champions behind there minion wave or on the other side of a thin wall Kube stops moving briefly when he uses this ability.
Kube's W, Redirection: Active Cost: 40 mana Cooldown: 12 seconds Kube raises his sword as for 2 seconds, after a 1 second channel time he shoots out any ranged projectile abilities that have hit him while his sword was raised in random directions, dealing 70% of the damage they did before hitting Kubebear.
Ability Breakdown W: Kube moves at 50% of his normal movement speed when he activates this ability, He can't use any other of his abilities as well or auto attack. He takes full damage from the abilities that hit him so being killed will cancel out his W ability. Any stuns, slows, debuffs that come in a projectile form do not affect him while his sword are raised, these are absorbed and shot back out too and apply there affects when they hit a target. The abilities remain the same after Kube reflects them, ex. If karma shoots a soulflare at Kubebear while his sword is raised it is absorbed and shot back out still creating the AoE when it hits and still detonating after 1.5 seconds. Any ability that is absorbed becomes friendly and will not damage allies when it is shot back out.
Kube's E, Insanity unbound: Passive-Active Cost: 60 mana Cooldown: 11/10/9/8/7 seconds Passive: Every time Kubebear is hit by crowd control of any kind his gains 20 attack damage+(5%bonus health) for 3 seconds. This effect does not stack at level 1, it stacks 2 at level 3 and 3 times at level 5.
Active: Kube breaks free from all crowd control and debuffs, and is immune to them for 1.5 seconds. Kube also grants a shield to an allied champion or himself for 8% of his max health in strength. 8% at level 5.
Ability Breakdown E: Kube does not gain his passive if hit by debuffs, it only applies to crowd control. The active cleanse and buff does not apply to suppression effects. The shield is like a face of the mountains active shield except that it does not explode. The active does not stop DoT effects on Kube.
Kube's R, Inner hope: Active Cost: 100 mana Cooldown: 90/80/70 seconds Kube regains control of his mind and draws his sword. His range is increased slightly and he gains stacks of hope. For every stack of hope he gains bonus attack speed and movement speed, 2% per stack. Max 10 stacks. While he has 10 stacks his 3rd consecutive attack on a target roots them for 1 second. Increase the duration of DoT effects caused by champions on enemy targets by 1.5% for per hit , every hit on a target increases the affected time by 1 second per hit.
Ability Breakdown R: DoT effects include Twitches and Darius's passive, etc. Stacks are lost if kube does not hit anything for 6 seconds. After 20 seconds stacks are lost naturally at a rate of 1 stack per second. The increase compounds the duration that DoT effects last on the target but not the strength of the DoT.
Note: Changed appearance Aesthetic Qualities: Kube has a one strap breastplate his torso that is silverish in color and worn, his left arm is completely armored while his right arm only has a leather buckler. His legs have armor similar to grieves but without the shoe part. His waist has a belt and he has a cloth hung on his backside attached to that belt. Kube has many scars across his body, but very few on his face. Kube's sword is a relic of a past age with many magic symbols painted on the blade, it is able to channel magic energy as a medium. The taint in Kube's claws has turned them black and azure. Kube's fur is black from the taint that courses throw him, though there are white patches reminding you he was once an Ursine. Thought he trains vigorously, his passion for food has made him a bit heftier than Volibear. He enjoys taunting his enemies with witty remarks and love's learning to no end. His favorite subject is studying his opponent. His humor is very dark. Kube is partially insane, sometimes hearing voices and losing his ability to reason at times.
