Description: This is Paladin Danse. He is one of the unlockable companions you can bring in Fallout 4. For this concept entry for River King's contest, I want to make a kit based on the arsenals used by the Brotherhood of Steel which is Danse's affiliation. This includes limbs of the power armor, energy weapons they use with some names based on unique weapons in the game related to the faction, and a lore that should be able to tie in with League of Legends and Fallout 4. I am willing to get suggestions and judgement on how to make this concept better to help be on top of the contest. If you don't want me to win, then there's no need for suggestions. Jokes aside, let's get to it.

Abilities: Passive - Power Armor http://vignette3.wikia.nocookie.net/fallout/images/9/93/Fo4_T45d_power_armor_trailer.png/revision/latest?cb=20150604184602 Danse has a Power Armor with different components that have specific effects that contribute to Danse's resistance to damage (By damage, I mean both physical and magic damage). Each component has its own durability (Its own health) that is displayed above the minimap. Each of them can be upgraded by spending Bottle Caps which can be collected from fallen enemy and ally champions or from last hitting minions and monsters. Upgrading a component will increase its maximum durability up to 150 durability. If a component is broken, it will have to be repaired by returning to base.

  • Torso Blocks 12% damage from attacks in front of Danse. It will also enable Danse to resist from being launched. Instead, launch attacks will stun Danse for the same amount of time.
  • Arms Each arm component blocks 12% damage from the left and right of Danse.
  • Jetpack Blocks 12% damage from behind Danse, also enables Danse to use the Jetpack ability. It will not protect Danse until Jetpack is at its first tier.
  • Legs Decreases the effects of stuns, slows, and roots by 12%.
  • Helmet Blocks 12% damage from Critical Strikes.
  • Power Fists Enables Danse to use melee attacks if his target is at melee range. Critical strikes from melee attacks will launch the target away from Danse. Note that AOE attacks will cause damage to all the components at once.

First Ability - Righteous Authority https://vignette4.wikia.nocookie.net/fallout/images/4/40/Fallout_4_Laser_Rifle.png/revision/latest?cb=20170119054847 When activated, Danse's auto attacks will deal double the damage upon critical strikes and its gauranteed critical strike meter fills by 15% upon each critical strike up to 100% where the next attack is a gauranteed critical strike. Each shot will cost mana however but deals bonus magic damage to enemies. Bonus Damage - 5%/10%/15%/20%/25% (+10% attack damage) (+10% ability power) Mana Cost - 20 per shot

Second Ability - Jetpack https://cnet1.cbsistatic.com/img/fzXVV-QD2MPfGD4CGJ6RBcvJhY8=/fit-in/970x0/2015/11/12/942522fe-c034-4b06-8370-1b151160fa02/fallout-jetpack.jpg Danse activates his Jetpack to leap into the air and fly for 4 seconds or until activated again. Danse will land on the ground below him, dealing magic damage to enemies within the landing point. An enemy champion who is directly at the center of the landing point will take bonus physical damage and is stunned for 1 second. If the Jetpack component is broken off, Danse will not be able to use it. Danse can also still use attacks while flying. Magic Damage - 75/120/165/210/255 (+32.5% ability power) (+32.5% attack damage) Maximum Flying Duration - 2/4/6/8/10 Maximum Mana Cost - 70%/80%/90%/100%/110%

Third Ability - Final Judgement https://vignette4.wikia.nocookie.net/fallout/images/2/2e/Gatling_laser_%28Fallout_4%29.png/revision/latest/scale-to-width-down/350?cb=20151114173958 Paladin Danse uses a powerful minigun that rapidly fires lasers in a cone in front of Danse. The fire rate of this laser minigun gets faster as it remains active. But each time it is fired, it consumes mana. It will also start to spread more the longer it spins, decreasing the chance of the laser beam to hit its main target. Enemies caught in the cross fire will take magic damage, and each shot applies critical strikes that will enflame the victim, dealing additional magic damage overtime. Maximum Attack Speed - 25%/50%/75%/100%/125% Attack Damage - 10%/20%/30%/40%/50% Mana Cost - 20 per second when active Range Bonus - +20% for all ranks

Ultimate - The Fat Man https://vignette1.wikia.nocookie.net/fallout/images/f/fb/Fallout4_Fat_man.png/revision/latest?cb=20151205192630 One of the most powerful weapons ever held by any member of the Brotherhood of Steel is the Fat Man. It is a catapult launcher that fires a devestating nuke that creates a massive explosion that has the potential of killing thousands of lives if fallen into the wrong hands. When activated, Danse uses the Fatman for his auto-attacks, severly reducing attack speed and uses great amount of mana for each shot, firing a projectile that will detonate upon reaching maximum range or upon impact of the first enemy it hits. The explosion deals magic damage to enemies within the radius and leaves behind an area contaminated with radiation for a few seconds. Enemies who remain within the blast radius after the explosion will take radiation damage. Radiation will lower the target's maximum health until they are killed or return to base. Base Damage - 275/400/575 Radiation Damage - 10% of Base Damage per second within the blast Range - 2500 Projectile - Lobe Attack Speed - (-80% on all levels) (Note the negative sign next to the 80%. This ultimate makes him shoot slower)

Special Passive I - Know Your Enemy http://vignette3.wikia.nocookie.net/fallout/images/0/0c/Icon_Know_Your_Enemy.png/revision/latest?cb=20151230004938 All human and yordle allies near Danse deals 20% bonus damage to non-human and non-yordle champions.

Special Passive II - Vertibird https://i.ytimg.com/vi/ui8S3eagFl0/maxresdefault.jpg Danse is being picked up by the Vertibird when he recalls.

Synergy: Works well with - Heimerdinger Thanks to Heimderinger's Techmaturgical Repair Bots, Danse is able to maintain his power armor while in combat, not to mention the combat support he gets from each of the built turrets. Scientists like Heimerdinger can contribute to the cause of the brotherhood. Zilean With the use of Time in a Bottle, Danse could maximize the effects of his arsenal a lot faster, leading to higher resistance against high priority targets. Also with Chronoshift, not only is Danse able to return from the dead, but Zilean would undo half the damage done to each of the components of his power armor. Orianna You want somebody who could pull enemies together so that the Fatman would take maximum effect against the enemy team. Orianna's Command: Shockwave is one of those abilities. By pulling enemies into the center, that gives Danse and easier chance of landing the Fatman, along with Final Judgement, both of which are more likely to mostly land hits on each target.

Struggles against - Corki Power Armor can be extremely vulnerable to lethality and magic penetration. That's why Corki's Gatling Gun is a big threat. The soul purpose of the Gatling Gun is to shread through armor and magic resist, making the components fall off easily as each bullet is rapidly sprayed all over Danse. Rammus Danse will have to use caution when firing at Rammus. Not only would Defensive Ball Curl reflect the damage back to his armor, but those laser beams could also hit allies caught in the crossfire. Warwick Sometimes, you don't really need lethality or magic penetration to break through the power armor. You just need to stop Danse in his tracks so you have enough time to break apart his armor. Thanks to Warwick's Infinite Duress, Suppression with those sharp claws would make Warwick strong enough to shred through all the components.

Tips: Playing as Danse -

  • Make sure to have runes that balance the build between offensive and defensive stats. That way, during the match, you can analyze the item builds of the rival team and buy items to counter their builds.
  • Armor and Magic Resist both increase the durability of all the power components. If you want to build as a tank, build through items that give magic resist and armor.
  • Take advantage of the fact that most of your abilities build through both attack damage and magic damage, and build powerful items favored by mage and marksman champions.

Playing against Danse -

  • Magic Penetration and Lethality both count as bonus damage against Danse's power armor. Try building items that would help shread through his defenses. Once the component is removed, damage dealt to that component is take nas true damage.
  • In team fight, avoid crowding with your teammates. The Fat Man's mini nukes have the potential of eliminating your entire team with not only and explosion but by absorbing deadly radiation.
  • Go after the torso and leg components. Once they are removed, that leaves Danse vulnerable to all crowd control.

Personality: Danse demonstrate loyalty and efficiency in fulfilling tasks no matter the risks. He is a noble soldier who is willing to sacrifice himself to serve the people and to protect his brothers in arms. But with such selflessness, it may be hard for him to find interest in human life, like most Brotherhood knights.

Relationships: Allies - Caitlyn Corki Heimerdinger Vi Jayce Enemies - He pretty much sees most non-humans and non-yordles as enemies. Like the Vastayans, the Void, Occupants of the Shadow Isle, and any machine that has the potential to wipe out the human and yordle race. He'll also find certain raiders and barbarians and of course, pirates as potential threats.

Lore: War. . . War Never Changes. . .

In ancient times, the world of Runeterra strive through the Art of War. The ways of the swords had always been a part of life. Warriors across kingdoms of Valoran were born to seek honor through the clashing of forge steel. Braving the dangers of War for the sake of honoring their people, seeing Death down upon as just a mere rodent that can be swept upon. The strongest and courages of warriors were well respected. Given titles that show influence upon the lower peoples, raising them to follow their example of how battles are to be fought. The ancient times was the golden age of warriors who believed battles are fought in close combat.

Centuries later, when sorcery had been adapted and practiced, kingdoms have invented ways of making sorcery as part of the Art of War. Although magic had been practiced by the weak, it was as tolerable as archery since warriors had the advantage of strength and endurance. An archer and mage wouldn't stand a chance against a single cut from a blade.

Thievery and the arts of stealth was most frowned upon by warriors. It was a cowardly practice in meant to serve the selfish and dishonorable of cowards for the sake of their enrichment and survival. Warriors believed Wars were not meant to be fought in the shadows, but fought within the light where all threats face them. If it meant honor through, then let it be so.

War was something they glorify but their were horrific truths behind what War demonstrated. Soldiers in many kingdoms would defend their people by bringing them closer to death's scythe. And the death they bring upon others isn't just in the battlefield. There had been histories of villages and even cities that have been purged. The victors spoils were not from dead warriors but from the immoral killing of innocent lives, violation of women, enslavement of workers, and worst of all, the disrespect to the practices of different religions. These were the darkest truths about war, yet warriors of ancient times are blinded upon the horrors it inflicts.

Until centuries later, craftsmenship had evolved, and technology was born with the raging fire that brought true terror upon the powers of all nations.

In each nation, there existed talented minds of inventors who wanted nothing more but to demonstrate their ideas on how they would serve the people. Most were unfortunately frowned, seeing their practices as witchcraft or a laughable waste of time. Because of how limited these inventors were in their own homes, it was hard for them to pursue their innovative ideas on their own. No resources to make use of, no to help them, so instead of staying in their kingdom forever, only to give in on their ideas, they leave their former homes and planned to pursue their success elsewhere.

Other talented people from across the world also had the same idea of leaving their homes for the sake of pursuing their success. It was when these people had arrived into the same place, same landscape, with the same goal. So they all united together to pursue their ideas. Share each other what they have learned and what they wish to achieve. By developing theories of what they could do with nature, and by discovering ways to make a better living, they've eventually formed a new civilization where the arts of crafting, innovation, forward thinking, cultural trade, and most importantly, Science all go hand in hand.

This new nation became known as Piltover, the City of Progress.

With the practice of many brilliant minds across this united nation, their power was earned not from staining blades with blood, but by developing the public into a better living.

At first in the eyes of the other nation, Piltover seemed harmless as they see that its development could mean a potential target for purging of all resources. That is until scientists began developing technology that would change the ways of battle forever. The Hextechnology was created to harvest magic without the need of disciplined practice of sorcery, creating weapons and armor that would turn a mere mortal into an equal of gods, even have the potential to surpass them.

Guns were their primary weapons of combat. It is a handheld cannon that fires projectiles with great speed and force, some of which are able to penetrate through armor. One shot from these weapons could lead to a fatal blow upon its unfortunate victims. Only the rich were able to possess these weapons, but Piltover would continue their development in order to enhance their new military.

This brought conflict with the rest of the world. These weapons considered made for cowards and should not fall within the hands of mortals who would use it to play as gods. This has led to a Cold War between Piltover and Demacia, requesting that Piltover would halt its progress, claiming that their weapons would make them cowardly and disnonorable. But Piltover refused and also claimed that they only intend to protect themselves from other expansionists just as Demacia would for their land. With some of Demacia's powers disagreeing with their leaders accepting Piltover's presence, armies of mercenaries and freelancers were formed in secret, in attempt to infiltrate the city of progress and eliminate the threat that would take its power away forever. Demacia's ancient rival, Noxus, also had the same idea of ending Piltover's progressive culture.

It was then Piltover was finally at war with the rest of the world. A very uneasy conflict with secret alliances. Many of which have attempted to infiltrate their district, capturing, imprisoning, and deporting spies who were scouting the city. Some of them who fought back were either killed or wounded. They should consider themselves lucky that Law Enforcements were more merciful than as cold hearted as the rest of the nations' laws. Some were able to survive. Less of them were able to return home with what they were looking for.

As the war progressed, so did Piltover's power. New weapons were being forged as contribution to the war effort. Dangerous weapons with the potential of taking over an entire nation. This brought fear down upon the other nations, but it did not stop them from fighting.

In fact, it led to them fighting even more.

Piltover's war against the world grew. Greater powers started taking part in the campaign against the city. Armies began to form, and Piltover was facing battles from all sides of their borders. It won't be long until the boundaries would break, and all the occupants could lose their way of life, and even succumb to enslavement. Piltover may be a powerful nation, but its not yet as powerful as the rest of the world. They would have no choice but to give in to their dominance, give up on the city they've built, and return to the old days of war. It seems all hope is lost. The war against Piltover would finally come to an end for a loss for their side.

Until one day. . . something glorious happened. Something massive and evolutionary would return hope to the City of Progress.

One day, the citizens have come across a large shadow that traveled across the surfaces of the walls and pavements and roofs. It blocked the light of the sun. They look up, and upon their gaze was the most amazing thing they ever saw.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4RsW-q7KZG8 "People of the Commonwealth," A voice spoke. "Do not interfere! Our intentions are peaceful."

The voice echoes across the city, "We are. . ."

http://vignette2.wikia.nocookie.net/fallout/images/4/4d/BoS_logo.png/revision/latest?cb=20150724004437 ". . . The Brotherhood of Steel."

It was the most largest flying structure they have ever seen. Forged with darker steel, it soared through the skies, surrounded by smaller flying carriages that looked more advanced than the flying machines they've ever invented. It was a well organized army with an emblem of hope for all the citizens of Piltover.

But The Brotherhood of Steel, who are they? Where did they come from? How did they get here? What do they want? And how are they able to create such structures without the use of sorcery? No matter the case, it was Piltover's chance in winning the war against the outsiders.

The blimp was welcomed into the city by the superiors, escorted by security, and the leaders greeted each other, shaking hands, though one of them along with the rest of his crew were surprised at the city's immense civilization. The Brotherhood's leader, the Elder came in responding the distress signal sent by the beacons. Piltover's president might have ordered a distress signal to be sent which was how the Brotherhood of Steel was able to find them here.

The Brotherhood of Steel's technology didn't have any use of magic as the Hextechnology did, but this would lead to the inefficiency of their military compared to what they are up against outside the borders. There solution was to learn more about the Hextechnology and how they would apply its sorcery into their arsenal of weapons and armor. The Elder offered training to Piltover's military, even allowed the citizens to join their ranks, whether they'd be trained as knights or scientists, whatever role they play, it will serve as contribution to the cause of saving the City of Progress.

One Brotherhood knight in particular, Paladin Danse has played a very important role in fighting during the war. A close friend to the elder, he was given the role to recruit and train troops to learn how to fight and utilize the equipment in combat situations. But they were also taught about the beliefs and their mission. This discipline has led Piltover to forge a new army with the Brotherhood. Upon their first arrival of the battlefield, it brought cold fear down upon the spines of Piltover's greatest encounters. The destruction they've brought upon the other armies made horrors of war finally realized. These unfortunate warriors were either blown into blood and ashes or return home with practical and mental wounds from the battlefield, unable to fight another day. But the war against the outside world was just beginning and this time, Piltover has the upper hand.

Paladin Danse was in charge of managing the troops, giving them assignments as initiates and sending them to the elder for promotion. These initiates were even gifted the opportunity to learn how to use the power armor, with Danse as their elite trainer. But not only did Danse taught the initiates on how to fight, he also assigns members to assist him in operations ordered by the elder. These operations however were very dangerous and only the most elite could fulfill and even survive the task. These missions consist in receiving valuable objects or eliminating threats that all have the potential in contributing or fighting against the war effort. They were even allowed to assist citizens from the outside world as an act of a good samaritan. Not only did Paladin Danse and the rest of the Brotherhood wanted to demonstrate strength, but they also wanted to influence the outerworld to side with their ranks, so that the war would finally end in a truce and no more blood will have to be shedded from either side of the battlefield.

But these elite operations weren't enough to promote the brotherhood, so they attempted a propaganda approach by sending out posters all over the city, even sending troops to post them across the outside word. They target settlers of small villages, deploying troops to offer protection if it persuades the villagers enough to join them on their missions.

Though that wasn't enough for the war effort, it did at least enabled these villages to join the minutemen who were led by the brotherhood elder who was a general of the minutemen before joining the brotherhood.

But the elder had a solution, one that seemed unusual to the brotherhood members of the otherworld but proven to be most effective in promoting their cause.

The elder learned about a competition where champions from all over Runeterra, including monsters would fight in an arena to prove their strengths, regardless of reasoning, whether to gain honor, wealth, or power. This was the perfect opportunity to promote the brotherhood. Because they would fight the best warriors Valoran has to offer, and there was no other Brotherhood Knight to take this role other than Paladin Danse.

He demonstrated the true meaning of being part of the brotherhood. So it would influence the world even more if he became their champion in the League of Legends. This will be Paladin Danse's greatest mission ever to complete. It would mean great service in contributing the war effort.

"Ad Victoriam" was their slogan. A phrase that will be passed on by thousands of generations.

As for the war, it would seem that the golden age of warriors is approaching its end. There had been word of other armies willing to abandoned the ways of the sword, and convert to fighting with forged steel, to fight like cowards. There were still many who refuse to change, Demacia and Noxus were the ones who denied it the most. The power of Piltover has grown more rapidly than ever. Soon it will become the most powerful nation the world has ever faced. This new army would change the ways of battle forever.

Though it did not matter how wars were fought and for whatever reason. Battles will always be fought with bloodshed. Lives will always be taken. Powers will always be passed on. History is written by the victor. And fear will always be realized.

But the world is ready to accept one thing:

. . . Is that War. . . War Never Changes. . .

Finally, I'm finished. Typing this stuff was a pain in the ass. I hope I'm not too late to be qualified for the contest. If you made it this far, then thanks for reading my post. I'll be open to suggestions and improvement. Just keep me posted and I'll have my concept updated. But if you want to win the competition, I wouldn't recommend helping me out. Otherwise, go ahead.

Thanks for reading everyone, and I'll see you in the rift. Ad Victoriam!

You know I think his perk is broken it's too much for an adc remove that torso perk where it blocks all damage from his front and Say his armor blocks 12% damage from physical attacks, helping him in lane, remove all that block damage shit too, especially that immunity to cc if he can't be cc then he is unstoppable A with no counterplay look at the case when he gets fed, how will people deal with him when he has immunity and tanky stats with burst. Critical strike should be removed.

For my idea of his passive is that danse plated armor blocks 12% physical damage, killing units will increases danse health by 50 to a max of 200 additional health. Each time he crits he will heal for 2% of his maximum health. His ulti could have a passive that increases his range and basic attacks deal 130% physical damage to surrounding targets. 50% to minions

This is a very in-depth concept but I am afraid I cannot let it in. This is an unlockable character in Fallout, not even a major one, and I know of him only in passing from a friend who enjoys Fallout. I would not be able to judge him fairly and objectively.

I feel bad turning down concepts that people have put a lot of work into, but next time (if even) I do a contest like this I will be more explicit in my wishes that people not pour their heart and soul into a concept based on a relatively minor character that there is a high possibility of the judge(s) not recognizing. The purpose of this contest was to take relatively well-known characters, such as Bowser or the Flash, and spin them into League. Obviously there may be a few more obscure characters on there, but definitely not an unlockable side-quest character like Danse is.

Regardless, the kit is pretty overpowered and does not translate well into League.

Best of luck in the future.
