Yggdrasil - The Primordial Root
An elementalist that utilizes six different aspects of magic. His preferred role would be as a top lane skirmisher with a stong balance of lane sustain and initiation.
First and foremost, this is a Transforming / Stance Dancing champion with a toggled ultimate that places him in one of two stances, Corporeal and Aethereal. Corporeal utilizes the elements Water, Earth, and Wood. Aethereal utilizes the elements Fire, Wind, and Lightning.
Passive - Elemental Surge. Utilizes a resource known as Elemental Surge in which its max value is 25 - 100 depending on the rank of his ultimate. Using abilities generates Elemental Surge. Abilities can be reactivated once within an allotted amount of time before going on cooldown. (Similar to Lee Sin) Reactivating an ability still generates elemental surge but will alternatively consume the resource in increments of 25 if available to empower the recast ability. If an ability is not recast it will refund 25% of its initial cooldown.
Q - Water ( Corporeal ) - If this ability was the last ability activated, it passively grants 25 / 50 / 75 / 100 / 125% base health regen. Upon activation your next basic attack deals a small amount of bonus magic damage. If your basic attack kills an enemy unit it restores 3 / 3.5 / 4 / 4.5 / 5% of your maximum health. If this ability was empowered by your passive the bonus damage and healing are increased by 50%
Q - Fire ( Aethereal ) - If this ability was the last ability activated, it passively grants a slow burn on basic attacks that apply grievous wounds if the target is below 20 / 25 / 30 / 35 / 40% maximum health. The total burn damage is generally low but lasts for 5 seconds. The first cast is a lobbed fireball grenade that deals moderate damage in a relatively small AOE. The recast is a 120 degree angle conal AOE shooting from the epicenter of the landed fireball. (Similar to activating Command: Dissonance on Orianna's existing ball). Landing either spell applies the same effect as its passive. Empowering the ability gives it an extra 50% damage modifier.
W - Wood ( Corporeal ) - If this ability was the last ability activated it passively grants 3 / 6 / 9 / 12 / 15 bonus magic resistance. Activating this ability erects a small tree at a target location which serves as impassable terrain. (Similar to Trundle's Pillar of Ice). This ability can be activated 3 times before going on cooldown with its empowerment triggering upon the third activation. The second cast erects another tree just like the first, but the second cast's epicenter distance is tethered to the first tree rather than from the champion, thus a barrier is formed between the two trees that slows any enemy unit that passes through by 20 / 25 / 30 / 35 / 40% for 2 seconds (Similar to Karthus's Wall of Pain). Erecting a third tree will draw barriers between it and the other trees and any enemy units within the new enclosed area will be slowed half as much. If empowered, the zone slows for the full barrier amount and units inside become grounded.
W - Wind ( Aethereal ) - If this was the last ability activated it passively grants 5 / 10 / 15 / 20 / 25 movement speed. This ability can be activated 3 times before going on cooldown with its empowerment triggering upon the third activation. Each time Wind is cast, it grants 5% increased movement speed for 2 seconds, which stack with one another and reset the duration. The empowered activation grants 15% increased movement speed for 3 seconds, stacking up to a total of 15 - 25% movement speed depending on if it was empowered or not.
E - Earth ( Corporeal ) - If this ability was the last ability activated it passively grants 3 / 6 / 9 / 12 / 15 armor. Activating this ability makes your champion dash to a target location, colliding with enemy units along the way will knock them up for .5 seconds and dealing a small amount of magic damage. Reactivating this ability will generate a shield for 10% of your maximum health for 5 seconds. Empowering this ability grants a shield for 15% of your maximum health.
E - Lightning ( Aethereal ) - If this ability was the last ability activated it passively grants 3 / 6 / 9 / 12 / 15 magic penetration. Activating this ability on a target unit will deal moderate magic damage, chaining to all other units within range, and applying a status debuff called "Static". Recasting this ability calls down lightning on all enemy units with the static debuff dealing non-overlapping AOE damage in a small radius around each affected target. Each target in range of another target already marked with "Static" will take an additional 5% increased base damage per non-champion and 10% for each champion. Empowering this ability will stun all targets affected by "Static" for 1 second.
R - Elemental Shift - Toggles between the Corporeal and Aethereal elements. Elements mapped to the same hotkey share cooldowns. You start with a free point in this at level one setting your maximum passive meter at 25. Each additional point increases your maximum Elemental Surge in increments by 25 capping at 100 at max rank. Switching stances does not negate the effects of your most recently activated ability. Empowered abilities consume 25 Elemental Surge. Each non-empowered ability generates 6 / 7 / 8 / 9 / 10 Elemental Surge based on the rank of the activated ability.
XD - We're leaving actual cooldown timers, base damage ratios, and damage scaling ratios up to Riot for balancing purposes, assuming they deign to take this suggestion seriously.
