[SPLASH ARTS] - VERY Dated Skin Splash Arts

Hello

WIth the Tristana visual update coming, an issue that has been around since champion VU's are a thing continues to bother me more than ever before. Many champions have had updates that called out for a brand new regular Splash art, since the new ingame models don't fit at all what the old splash art looked like, however, old skins splash arts have been neglected almost 100%, save for Ashe.

Best examples of this are Karthus (specially Phantom), Sion, Trundle, Twitch, and now Tristana is about to join them. First skin that comes to mind is Riot Girl. That splash art is SO dated, that (much as Phantom Karthus) it will be posing for a skin that won't look like that at all anymore. On top of that, it's just a recolor of the ORIGINAL recently replaced Tristana Normal Splash Art, which makes it even more dated.

With so many updates to champion textures, and also the complete VU updates, I continue waiting to hear anything on the Splash Art department, but nothing comes up.

Now that it's going to happen to Tristana as well, I just thought I'd bring it up.

I thought they said they would get around to it eventually, but it wasn't top priority with more pressing issues at hand.

EDIT: But I agree. Since I own a lot of older skins, I would like to see more accurate splash arts for them. Phantom Karthus being one of them.

When realistic art that resembled the game was still used, sigh... nostalgia.

I know about the Chinese different splash arts, but some of them still don't resemble the in game looks at all. They may be better than some of the NA splash, but I just believe that if a champion is receiving a full VU, updates to their splash are also in order.

I know they said they'd get around that at some point, but haven't seem them do that to any of the VU, at al... Pentakill Karthus being the only exception, but that was because of the launch of the music record, not because they knew it needed an update to reflect the in-game looks.
