So as many of you may or may not know, the death of Leelah Alcorn has stirred some commotion across the internet. And if you don't know about her, here are some useful links about her and what went down. 1st Link. Her Tumblr Message. ABC Link. I know this isn't the most appropriate way to view this, but my love of making champion concepts formed into this. Now before you go on any further, I want only the best to come out of this, I want everyone to know what happened and what we can do. She wanted her death to mean something, which I hope it does. So that gave way to the champion concept, one who gives their life up, to help the lives of others. A strong beacon of hope, who signifies that we can become stronger when we work together. So I have prepared a lore for her, that fits into the lore of League, but representing the acts that have happened. I present to you, Leelah, The Spirit of Hope

Lore

It's been 13 days since I have been captured by the Noxus Commanders, I've been a spy sent from Demacia to gather information. I was doing great, working as a seducer, taking their high chief officers on dates. Little did they know I was a man. I was able to gather their information by slipping special pills into their drinks and taking notes with a small recorder hidden in my pocket. It was on my return journey back to Demacia when they saw through my disguise, it was Katarina, the one who was able to see I wasn't what I put my self to be.

They put me on trial to be executed, and to no surprise, I was convicted of spying for the enemy. There was nothing I could do, they would hold my trial in 16 days, as Urgot prepared my way of death. I sat in my cell, waiting for the arrival date. That's when they decided I could help them out. They took me to a torture chamber, and they slowly starting to filled the room with poisons. They threatened to kill me in this painful and torturous ways if I didn't provide them information. I didn't tell them anything, until they started to crank up the poison. I started puking, sweating, and I felt a burning inside my body. I couldn't handle it anymore, I spilled the truth about where we hid our weapons.

They took me out of the chamber and put me back in my cell. They said if I did this each day until the trial, they would let me free. I thought to myself this if for the best, when I got freed I can return back the information I received. So I did, each day they put me in the same room, slowly putting poison in at first, then pumping it out fast. It got to a point where I just told them as soon as I got in the room, I couldn't believe that I had the chance to be let free.

Then I heard the stories of the other prisoners, how we were losing the war. How they were able to get through our defenses by someone giving them critical information. I realized that the person giving them the information was me. I couldn't take the pain of knowing I would be the one who let Noxus win the war. It was worse than the poison, worse than being dead, worse than being useless. So each day after that I started a plan to do what most considered is the unthinkable act, suicide. But killing myself wasn't for myself and the guilt, it was to make the world a better place. I wanted my death to mean something, and I didn't want people to mourn my loss. I wanted my loss to lead us to victory, to crush the Noxus command.

I started by carving a brick out of the wall, slowly to make sure they didn't notice. It was hard at first with no tools, but it became easier. The path to our victory was coming through. It was the 13t day of being held hostage when I fully got the brick out. I took it out and started banging it against my head. My head started bleeding, and I started losing consciousness, and with one final blow to my head, I was knocked out.

I awakened back at Demacia, the only thought was, did I not die? Did my plan fail? Did I cause the loss of Demacia? I looked around, and all I saw were 2 summoners and Zilean. They told me when I died, the news spread, and I became known as the Hope Beacon. How people didn't believe in themselves thought about the acts I did, and how I was able to what was best for mankind. When they were able to find my body and bring it back, they had two options, bury me, or reanimate my spirit. They decided it was best that I see how my actions affected the world, and brought my spirit with the help of Zilean. My choice was clear, to help the people who needed it most, and to make sure that my death and revival wouldn't be wasted. So that's when I joined the League.

"When it seems all hope is lost, and nothing can be done, turn to the Leelah, the one who represents hope for things to come" - Zilean Zilean

So that was my take on her introduction into the league, but it has plenty of holes, but I think it was a good starting point. But what is a champion without skills? My goals I had in mind when I created her was three things, her death had to mean something, she had to help her team, and she had to be a girl. So with that in mind, here is the kit I have created for Leelah. Her appearance in-game is of a transparent version of herself, her auto attack is her shooting a ghostly flame from her hand.

Passive/Innate - Regrets Whenever Leelah dies, she places regrets upon the ones who aided in her death. They become marked for 7 seconds, causing the next attack from an ally to deal additional magic damage.

  • Magic Damage: 30 + (10 x Level) + (15% AP)

This skill signifies that her death will not go unheard, even from her death she places death in her enemies. I think this fits her well, and it works well with the rest of her kit.

Q - N/A

I haven't created her Q spell yet, I need some help with that.

W - Shared Link - Cooldown: 1 Second - Cost: Something Toggle: Leelah places a protection rune on an ally champion, causing a portion of the damage they take would instead be transferred to Leelah. And healing either Leelah or the ally recieves is also split to the other unit. If either Leelah or her ally leaves the range of the link, the link is broken.

  • Range: 600 / 650 / 700 / 750 / 800
  • Damage Reduction and Taken: 10 / 13 / 16 / 19 / 22 %
  • Shared Heal: 40 / 45 / 50 / 55 / 60 %

This signifies how she is brave enough to take some pain, to help someone else. She takes all the damage they would've taken, making sure that even if she dies because of it, they are living.

E - N/A

I still need to flesh her kit out, as you can tell. I just got the basics down.

R - Final Wish - Cooldown: 150 / 130 / 110 Seconds - Cost: 100% health Active Leelah does the unthinkable, killing herself. After her death, she becomes a beacon of hope in a large radius, causing all allies in to receive huge bonuses, such as: AD, AP, movement speed, and CDR. No one is granted gold when Leelah activated this skill.

  • AD BUFF: 20 / 25 / 30
  • AP BUFF: 40 / 50 / 60
  • Movement Speed Buff: 20 / 30 / 40 %
  • CDR: 10%
  • AOE (Centered on her): 600 units

As you can tell, I haven't really flesh out her kit, given her a resource, or even completed it. This is WIP, and I would like your feedback to make this champion mean something. If you have any qualms with this, leave a comment. Please don't take this to heart and get angry. I don't know what else to say but please make her death mean something. ~MangoMudkips
