Support could be made fun

So this latest update to LoL was kind of interesting. I loved the the new map, and the fact they gave the jungle a new face. But lets be honest, what really needed to be updated was the role of support. Because everyone has been there and done that, waiting half an hour sometimes on a support. So here's what I propose...support role needs objectives. People need a real reason to play the role of support and be competitive with the other support from the other team. I believe much more of a desire should be made and goals should be set for the supports to have a little fun.

Sightstone should have enchantments for different playstyles like the jungle items instead of upgrading into ruby sightstone.

ruby stone could already be the Tanky upgrade for sightstone, for supports, like braum, leona, and..blitz? or nautilus. also, zeke's herald should be an upgrade for sightstone, for any "metabreaker" Ad Champs being played as a support

I would be happy if they just changed the sighstone to give similar stats as the new jungle items. Sightstone needs changed lol. They could also give supports more gold through their items.

Yeah, And in everything else someone gets forced into the role unless a random support main just so happens to be in the game. And from the wait times in Teambuilder compared to everything else it should give you a idea on how often you get someone who really wants the role. I can Que up as support ANYTHING and people will take it because.

"well i don't want to wait another 15-30 mins to get lucky i'll just have a (???) support"

Supports hate the game 99% of the time, because they have very little control over who wins/Loses (as a support main trust me it's the most annoying shit in the world to get a Vayne ADC in ranked because they saw (pro name) do it, And think they are just as good then proceed to go 0/6 I'v hit the point that i'll just build whatever the fuck i feel like, Play any champ as a support sounds fun, And take farm whenever i want it.

You know why? Because once your lanes lose and start arguing, They will turn to that 1/4/30 support and go

"STFU stupid support you're 1/4 i'm 4/4/2 i'm better then you, AND WARD MORE" Somehow forgetting that you can only place a max of 4 wards on the map.

ADC loses your fault. No matter how well you play, No matter how tryhard you are. If your ADC decides Hey i think i'm going to farm while my support gos in to try and get me a kill. You die, And you're the stupid one. You can get your ADC 30/0/0 And they are the ones "Carrying" I can't even tell you how many times i should had just afked and let that stupid bitch die again and again. See how well he carrys without me.

Because the adc in at least 70% of games is going to say this. "Go somewhere else stop taking my farm, I don't need you." While you sit at 7 CS that you took while they were gone or you were fighting and a stray skill hit a minon.

Bro, I'm a support main and a lot of this feels exaggerated. Speak for yourself. What you should've said was 99% of the time YOU hate the game as a support. I main support because I really like playing support. I don't think that generalizations like that should be made because I know plenty of people who are fine with support and people like me who love support.

The point of this topic was about the entertainment level of a support player. And the only reason why people have to wait on a support, is because the majority really does not have enough fun playing the support.

I see what you mean. Jungle has a far greater variety of things to do than a supp, i kinda liked the feral flare as it gave you alternative way of quantifying your contributions by the amount of stacks you had (in this season, you can count dragon etc).

The supp gets a little item that tells you how much extra gold you earned but it really means nothing.

Perhaps team meta could translate into something like duo jungle solo bot with the smite buffs...

Im not sure if any Riot developers actually take these post into consideration but I do agree that the Sightstone should be able to go into different options like Jungle items. I think ether that, or add Sightstones WARD features to this gold-income items that are available. Alot of times (Especially in low levels of ranked) you find someone being STUCK with support rather than offering; and they end up not warding at all because they dont think they make a difference. But the reality is, the support role is very vital to winning games. All it takes is Leona's AOE stun, 1 Crescendo or a Monsoon and the team fight is Won. I also want to add that WHOEVER came up with the idea or Ardent Censor was a GENIUS in a sense. but the stats need to be tweeked a bit IMO. But I think if they continue to make items such as Ardent Censor in the future, support will see a HUGE growth.
