A New Take on Champion Design

You know... League of Legends has tried to diversify their champion base by having some of them use different secondary resources and I applaud the efforts of Riot and its staff to do. Champions like Shen and Zed who use energy. Or Kled, who has courage. Then there's Tryndamere and Shyvana who use fury and those like Katarina and Garen who don't use anything. Rengar of course who generates stacks of ferocity. But for all their champions who use different secondary resources, they haven't yet come out with one who uses a different primary resource. Every one of them uses health still. Well i'm here to tell you that this needs to change. No longer are we, the players, content to play champions who all rely on health to survive, no. We demand a champion who has no health! Who instead relies on a unique primary resource like hugs to survive, or better yet gold. Who gains strength purely on the amount of gold in his bank account. Buying items would decrease their tankiness, while potentially increasing their damage and a skilled player would constantly weigh the benefits against the handicaps of spending their gold. Perhaps they could have a primary resource that deals with something a bit less tangible. Perhaps a champion who burns as bright as a star, and thus has their health bar replaced with Nova Matter. Whatever the decision of Riot and its staff I look forward to the future, where champion design might evolve past such limiting factors as health. summoner 30

Different (sec.) ressources bring different playstyles, but apart from balancing problems I don't see what replacing Health would add to the game.
