Deadeye? Any theories out there?

It is all speculation but a theory is a good read, so lets hear them. I want to hope that it is an ADC but with the reworks I doubt it. Some are saying Shen rework or his father as a new champion. Who knows?

Some theories I've heard:

Deadeye, new ranged AD Assasin who kills Zed in the teaser.

Shen, Eye Of Twilight = Deadeye. (Codename for a rework?)

Somebody found files of a WIP Champion known currently as Jihn.

Zed rework?

All champions will be receiving animated icons, Zed's just the first.

New skin series, Deadeye Garen ect.

New skin for Zed.

This is just my opinion on all of these theories:

Possible; we haven't had an Ionian champ in forever and the only Ionian ADC I can think of is Varus
Possible; Shen is up next for a mini-rework next to Taric
Possible; the name Jihn is seen a lot in the HTML code for Zed's little video of him "dying"
No; Zed's kit is fine and he's left to big of an impact for Riot to just go "nah let's just change it completely"
Possible; I just want to believe this because it'd be awesome lol
Unlikely; I really hope it's not this. A teaser this cool would be a huge let down if it were just a skin line.
Unlikely; He just got PROJECT so it's very unlikely

I think a new possible ultimate skin since they release one every year, right? Which makes me speculate that it is a ultimate skin for possibly for a ranged assassin. But the theory of shens father is likely though.

I think that this is very unlikely, especially at the very beginning of the year. Also it's not going to be a skin for Sona, Vi, Garen or Zed since they've all gotten skins within the year but maybe It's a rework for Zed and a new Lightning theme skinned since he hasn't gotten one recently.

I see what you mean there, but why add there names (garen, sona) into the mix if they weren't somehow getting a skin or something?

(Don't forget about Vi) But, It shows that this Champion is attacking more than one other champion. The champions first priority was his main enemy, Zed, but this champion can have more enemies that we don't know about yet.

Deadeye - break it up, we got "Dead" with Zed apparent death along with "eye" that stands for Shen's status as the Eye of Twilight. Most likely a codename for the event.

Jhin = new champion, most likely a student who rose to power after Zed's death.

Guys this might sound stupid but Deadeye, in the video Zed get's shot in the eye Dead-eye? I don't know where I'm going with this but yeah haha

That's sort of what I was thinking. It sounds like a gun shot and zed looks like he was shot in the eye. Who knows. Maybe a very accurate ADC.

I think the adc is Jihn but I can't find the name anymore in the files. If you convert the mp4 file into a notepad and search for words containing deadye you receive this:

Garen_deadeyeposter07.jpg (Top laner) zed_deadeyeposter.jpg (Mid Laner) vi_deadeyeposter.jpg (Jungler) Sona_deadeyeposter.jpg (Support)

And also found this containing DeadEye it's a sound file:

I was watching a Brofresco video, and he mentioned that some of the noises in the video sound like Lightning. A couple months back Brofresco also made a video on a rioter that had leaked a lightning based champion. So maybe this is what it is, A new lightning themed assassin.

Also it would be very plausible for a Shen rework since twilight is very mysterious and dark and would fight a lightning theme.

That is a good point and I get that he is having a rework. It could turn into sort of a Gangplank like lore. I would love to see a new champion but we have the Lightning champion Kennen. And now with thunderlords everyone is a lightning champ!
