PSA: Use the Pick Intent feature, please.

I just played a game where I was in the bottom three so I had a ban. I despise Yasuo so I banned him. My midlaner flamed harder than a Bunsen Burner. Screaming how he wanted Yasuo. I'm no mindreader, so if you don't want a champion to be banned then use the implemented system to show what you intend to play, or deal with the ban.

Same thing happened to me, no Yasuo declared for our team, I ban him. Turns out, our team had a player name 1TrickYasuo. He flamed incredibly hard. I told him it was his fault and he was lazy for no declaring his champion, he said I was the lazy one not reading team names to tell who mained what. Like, what logic??

I'll only pick-intent my champion after banning phase ends.

Too many salty players will intentionally ban my picks to be dicks, so I just wait until they can't (but still provide enough to time for my team to pick around my preference).

I dont pick intent because I enjoy off meta champs. I play ad malz jungle and ap kog mid so I hate when people ban them from me.

Sad you lost yasuo for your midlaner, good for your team so the enemy doesnt get him, finally: the reason I dont pick intent is people troll, 4/5 times and ban my intents

Ill agree, but like others have said sadly people will troll and ban despite people using Pick Intent. With that said I don't feel someone should be harassed if they do not use the appropriate options given to them. For me its Blitz. I will almost always ban him unless someone wants another champ ban (before i decide) or if someone has pick intent.

Pick intent is a cool idea, but here's the issues:

  1. people use it to "reserve" op or flavor of the month champs that NEED to be banned, then bitch about how "you banned my champ".
  2. salty fucks will ban your intended champion to discourage you from playing that role because they want to take it from you. These people should be permabanned for willful attempt to sabotage the game
  3. if someone dodges and you get rematched AGAINST some of the players that were previously on your team, they will know who to ban.

Still though, I generally like the feature, but there are definitely pros and cons to it's use, and these are things that Riot really cannot control.

I just played a game where I used pick intent and still had my pick banned. They said they didn't see it.

You banned yasou, you did your team a favor in avoiding a 6v4
