Crowd Fund Annie Ultimate Skin

I was wondering if Riot would accept crowd funding for certain champs to get a ultimate skin made. I would love to see Annie have a Ultimate Skin, and I would definitely pay a ridiculous amount of money to see the gears turning for her ultimate skin. Can Riot accept crowd funded money to make a Annie skin? How much would that cost? I am very curious to see the responses from the Riot staff and other people who would like to see that shiny new Ultimate skin for her.

Riot made 624 million dollars in 2013. That's $624,000,000.

They don't need your money. However, all design/art/production work does take time and other non-financial resources. Riot talks a lot about "bandwidth", which basically is just saying that they only have X resources to devote to Y number of problems. They also have to make sure not to flood the game too much with too many new Champions, skins, and game mechanics, both to prevent breaking the balance/pacing of the game, and to avoid losing revenue by giving the players too many things at once. Players are more likely to buy a few skins every few months rather than 100 skins tomorrow. Source

Thanks for the post man, I can see how their staff would be busy either way. I still have some hope that something like crowd funding could possibly sweeten the idea of more ultimate skins or at least having them mapped out for the future but as a guarantee to release after balancing issues have been fixed. Who knows maybe 100 thousand dollars for a single ultimate Annie skin will help sway Riot, and if so ill start making payments now.

One, I'd be surprised if they did. But two, what I was trying to say was more that what is preventing Riot releasing more skins (or at least the specific skin you want) is not money, but just time and resources. They need money in the sense that they need to continue staying in business and need money to continue supporting the game. But it isn't a case of, "Sorry, we would totally make an Annie skin but we can't afford it", its a case of Riot allocating their resources differently.

Could at least pick a Champion that a) Didn't recently get a skin and b) Doesn't have the most skins in the game.

Interesting proposal though.

All that is true, but still would be interesting to see if Annie or other champs could get outside money to make ultimate skins, I am very curious to see what Riot posts.

It would be nice and maybe use that money for a charity event! It's pretty sad when the only charity based skin isn't even available. They should really consider doing it again. Or at least bring Urf warwick back and give the money to a different charity!
