Kim is a champion that was born not from the head, but from the heart of a very passionate soul for League's lores and concepts. Kim appeared in my mind 3 years ago, and then 1 year later it became a serious thing. Once i finished the project some months ago, many friends of mine (that supported me the whole time) gave me suggestions on how to publish this idea in a very special way. That was when i asked the Brazillian community to help me send support tickets to Riot, which was the first spark of the fire - and it did pretty well! My video in which I made a motivational speech to ask for help in my evil plan got more than 12.000 VIEWS, and consequently HUNDREDS OF TICKETS SENT!! - The project's objectives and intentions!
Project Kim is more than just about personal achievment. Through this idea, i intend bringing more honor to the crative community, the passionate community, and the Brazillian community!! And that's not all. This character is a beautiful shot in the dark that puts creativity in the player's hand, searching to represent the creative process in League's universe in form of a champion! This project, if accepted, will give you, player, the power to "draw your own strategie" in battlefield.

Introduction and some things about me:
Hi there! My name is Gabriel Orlando, eighteen years old, from Brazil. Now it has been close to 3 years that I’ve been dreaming about Kim. The thing is, I really love drawing, writing, and creating stories, specially about parallel ones in gaming universes. League of legends has shown itself to me not only just as a lovely hobbie, but as specially how the characters appear to us. Their personalities, their quotes, their stories, their past, their message.... Everything is just too damn beautiful! I love it all! (Especially Kayle, Diana and Quinn… It may sound stupid, but I really feel like I made a passionate connection with those characters.) Therefore, I have always spent those classic boring classes at school thinking about characters that appeared in my mind. Always making sketches in book page’s edges, and some of them really had me overthinking about them for entire weeks. However, the day I sketched a random girl with a scroll that summoned painted creatures, it felt different. I felt it as special. As I said here, Kim is an artist that gives life to her drawings. Ironically, that is how I have always felt about myself… Could I give life to something that I created and started to care about just as a living thing? At some point, even my school friends (that also play LoL) started to notice how I became addicted to drawing lots of Kim’s everywhere, and when I said it was a dream of a champion and told them about my ideas, they really liked it and supported me to sending my dream forward! But not only this is pushing me forward: If I ever get some recognition, I could maybe even make some money to help my home's finances or even maybe my own future.. But let’s not make this a cheesy begging, and focus on the project. So here I am, pursuing my dream to summon Kim!!!

Kim comes from Nankim, the “china ink”. Yes, Ink! Kim is the daughter of Kassadin. Nevertheless, she is an artist, an avid painter that once got caught in the middle of a war she had nothing to do with. Therefore, cursed by a vengeful prophet, the girl was changed in body and mind: Her veins overflowing ink, and her thoughts afflicted with eternal malefic visions that outflow through her drawings (Almost like a dark and evil Sai from Naruto). And with her new condition, Kim turns out as an evil entity of pure proud vengeance. Malefic visions… The “E” from Malzahar. Confused? Let us get through this afflicting tale!

**Kim’s Lore: The failed father, the trickful prophet and the lost daughter. **

“In a long time ago, a fragile little girl called Kim lived peacefully with her father, Kassadin. People would say they had a complicated routine, as the man failed to give her as much attention as he loved to give about forbidden knowledge of runeterra. Sadly, for Kim, that would always come as bigger priority than herself to him. As an only-child, the one thing the girl loved as much as her father, was painting and artistry. She would spend days and nights in front of the canvas, attempting to create abstract concepts of what she would call “glimpses of another world”... In some way, Kim was painting the path to her own doom and did not know it. For the girl’s relish, Kassadin felt intrigued. How could his innocent daughter imagine things called abstract, but that resembled so much what he had been studying about the other dimension, the Void? His studies were safely confined only to him, so how could she know anything? But then, he took it as a simple coincidence, and kept focused on what he believed was very near to be discovered. The Void was each day closer to be proved by him, once and for all, as a real threat. And inevitably, Kassadin’s tireless research would come to one final step: His own vanishing. And now, poor Kim was left alone. Her art, despised. Her heart, empty. Loneliness took in, the girl searching deep into eternity, calling every hope she could find to refill the hole that was left in her chest. Lost, Kim wandered aimlessly… Straight to Icathia. She was found near-death by a group of mysterious people, who immediately took her to their leader, a hooded man with glowing eyes and strange power emanating from him. Taking her as a daughter of his own, that man was verily the true meaning of “doom” that Kim had just stepped into. It was Malzahar. He so told her about how he knew all along about her dower, and that now by his side, her art would be finally brought to a new level of acceptance. Kim was charmed, but only if she knew Malzahar actually meant only about the void he saw inside her. If only she knew it was the prophet himself who had put the curse inside her since from the beginning. Finally, Malzahar lured her into a final ritual. The evil prophet unsheathed his dagger, stabbing Kim’s chest, reaching deep into the void that dwelled inside her, and there creating a new nether portal! Kim’s body was sent into true darkness, to when she opened her eyes to greater deception, she felt not only the void that was still left inside her… Kim was now left inside the void itself."

Now, the conclusion that leads to her reappearance(people told me league's lore changed in this part, but i still want to share this with you all):
“Kim spent the equivalent to an eternity inside the Void. Of all exiles, this was the most dangerous for an empty soul. Kim’s consecutive fates of suffering were more than enough to convince her that all of this had a reason. The curse and the void were now the only truth to her.
In addition, her body: The void’s inconsistency was unbearable, so resisting to Malzahar’s curse was pointless. She took it in: Her heart turned in black, filled with loneliness and hate, pumping dark energies and also the ink she so did not live without… This ink was now her blood to run through every portion of her existence, leading to an endless outflow of malefic visions lodged by Malzahar and drastic changes to her own body as a response to the conditions of the void, and the nether portal inside her as well. So now Kim returns to runeterra stained with malefic power: summoning creatures that would haunt the world just as they haunt her mind. Kassadin was once again intrigued, and terrorized… Kim still wanted his attention, but this time it would be an enormous threat – she wanted everyone to know what the void really is, by redesigning it in runeterra! Kassadin immediately considered that her place would better be the League of Legends, where she could unburden loads of terror in an actual battlefield, and even have the chance to reckon unfinished business with those who caused her suffering.”

*Kim’s face: http://i.imgur.com/Ea8UIE6.jpg Kim’s face reflects her suffering. She has deep, big and live eyes, of which she cries ink. That is pretty much her symbol! She has fine features and a deep glance, as she expresses wear and tear with youth, as also fragility with danger at the same time.

I have thought of her being neither too tall nor too short. If maybe, something between Fiora, Quinn and Lux kind of tall. Kim must be seen as, once again, fragile but dangerous. Even though a tall Kim would sound preety scary... As I said up there, Kim pretty much: cries, sneezes and spits ink, and furthermore, has it flowing out from her nails, just as penholders (I’ll talk about her adaptation to this). Her heart is also mutated by Malzahar's delicate mark, so it could be a thing too.
*Kim’s clothing: http://i.imgur.com/bwWUjhZ.jpg Kim’s wear should resemble both Malzahar and Kassadin. That said, I’ve almost always thought about armor and a hoodie to fit her goth style. I don’t think she should have a full front torso cover, so I guess a chest plate would do the trick and make her somehow sexy… Fragile but dangerous, fragile but dangerous, guys. I guess her shoulder wear should be the second thing to be noticed. Her hoddie extends itself to her right, leading to a thin scarf-like cape. While her left one has armor that goes down to her entire left arm - the "nether vector" (see Nether Vector). Like Kass, Kim could have those tubes. Growing out of her chest, it carries not oxigen like her daddy, but ink instead! I have a lot of inspiration from Naruto, and one thing that attracted me were those giant bow ties around some character’s waist. Well hell yes, she has one. I guess it gives that artistic feeling she needs. Kim's pants are those short and wide, chubby ones, called "parachute pants". Look it up on google! They look a lot like Yasuo's. Give her some cool kneepads, boots, cool spherical patterns, and it is done!
*Kim's Nether Vector: http://i.imgur.com/hSVzEUI.jpg Being a summoner mage, even the smallest knife seemed to me a bit too cheesy of an weapon. Kim needs something that is original and creative, and still respects her demonic aspect and relates to her powers! So I thought, there is nothing more suitable than an mutated arm with scales and claws, that physically represents how the void changed her. But more importantly, the Nether Vector’s claws are Kim’s tool for both attacking and… Drawing! Her claws are tipped just like a fountain pen. That is why the Vector is positioned within the same side of her heart, the core of her cursed ink-blood.
***Kim’s cursed scroll: ** http://i.imgur.com/mOxb80G.jpg <- I'm still struggling with this one. At least i know it is big. An important secondary tool, especially for her summoning. I find this pretty original as well, because there are no champions related to summoning in classic ink-and-scroll style until now. Therefore, the scroll connects with the portal located in her heart, and acts like the bridge to void creature’s havoc. I am sorry, Ryze: This one is way much beefier than yours. Kim wants attention.
Interlude: To sum up: Attention… This is what I wanted to get to. By studying other champions, I noticed how their roles are always so explicit, so you can easily tell a lot about them by just looking. So we got as Kim’s symbols: her painted face, her aggressive claws, the giant bow tie(I love the bow tie), and a big-ass scroll! Doesn’t this sum it all up?

So far, we got her story, her appearance and some glimpses of her playstyle. This last one is what I want to focus on right now, so we can also understand every other piece in previous content that might have felt confusing in any way. An in depht analysis: Kim has a playstyle that reflects every little bit of her story and concept. She is a dangerous threat to the world as we know it, but she also has her weaknesses. Moreover, those weaknesses that make our characters who they are! She is evasive, dark, and lonely… However, if you mess with her, you will get hurt. Kim would mostly behave as a hidden caster in almost all situations, sending hordes, swarms and attacks from dark spots while making the enemy confused. Those visions she summons are still a blurred spot for me in how they look, but I am sure I have the perfect concept for those, which I will talk about very soon in her skills. But beyond that, Kim also has elements of fighting, that relates to the wild side of her personality. If she has to be hidden, she must be rewarded for behaving from inside her mechanic. Therefore, if not, there has to be given a limitation and an alternative in which good players would be highlighted from off common players. Had that Kim’s idea comes from a curse, her gameplay must be focused on how it affects her, thus, her resource. I’ve thought of many sceneries in which mana or even ink itself is used, but since chaos is in her blood, why not health? It's been a while since the last bloodthirsty champion, so Kim comes perfectly as a new breed of those kinds. Exactely, a new breed! Kim combines thirst, ambushes, evasiveness and summoning. And most importantly: She gives players the opportunity to design their own gank and strategy. For that, i've thought of a pretty original and unique mechanic. Follow me as a get to my basic skill set ideas! Kim is mainly a jungler. You’ll get why.

Kim’s Odd Skill Set: Notes: • Make sure to look up her ultimate immediately after reading her passive. It is her main mechanism, and she starts the game with it. • Do not be scared of how different this is. I still believe it fits very well in League’s mechanic. • Try not to hype too much. I had problems with that. Yay! Skill Set!!!
Passive: Curse of Sepia Outflow: Kim spends HP in her basic attacks and skills, converting any spent into her Outflow bar points. Cursed Sting: Kim’s basic attacks consume very little HP to apply a venom, which lasts for a while, damaging overtime and reducing the afflicted enemy’s resistance to crowd control effects. The biggest the base venom damage, bigger is the amount of health spent. Abstinence: When Kim’s HP hits a critical point, she enters Abstinence, gaining absurd bonus movement speed, attack speed and some lifesteal while consuming Outflow’s bar with basic attacks and/or movement. Kim cannot use Catharsis until she leaves this state.
Q: Skill Slot / Living Nightmare: Atony http://i.imgur.com/wFtqqhp.jpg Notes:• When using Catharsis to draw a Bloater, the player determines the length of that Bloater’s linear trajectory to follow when it is cast later. Summons a Bloater, which taunts enemies. It charges ina determined linear direction, and then starts searching for a target. Bloaters can be targeted, and block projectiles. Being hit makes it inflate, until it explodes, interrupting channelings and causing magic damage.
W: Skill Slot / Living Nightmare: Fear http://i.imgur.com/75zk6cr.jpg Notes: • When using Catharsis to draw a Swarm, the player determines the trajectory’s linear shape that swarm will follow when it is cast. Casts a Swarm that follows a determined trajectory, fearing enemies along its course. Although if cast in a brush or ink cloud, the direction of the fear follows a pattern(OP prevention purposes). If cast in a brush, enemies caught are terrorized outwards. If in a ink cloud, inwards.
**E: Skill Slot / Living Nightmare: Pain ** http://i.imgur.com/yDZg5R3.jpg Notes: • When using Catharsis to draw a Reaper, the player determines its range, and so the adittional bonuses. Summons a Reaper in Kim’s Nether Vector for a determined duration. While possessing a Reaper, Kim gains bonus basic attack range and Cursed Sting’s base damage. Up to 3 reapers can be summoned in the Nether Vector, stacking the extra range and damage.
R: Catharsis/Extravasation _Notes: •Kim starts with her ultimate. Then, she can upgrade a skill slot normally to make it active and ready to be filled in by a drawing. •Any Skill Slot is useless until she uses her ultimate in out of combat state to fill a slot with a skill. When a slot is successfully filled in with a skill, it becomes ready to be activated. •When Catharsis is activated, Kim must choose Q, W, or E to fill in that certain Skill in her Skill Slots. Skill slot’s filling follows its own order. Ex: Kim draws and chooses W, so if Q’s slot is open, it gets occupied. The, she chooses Q, but if Q’s slot is already taken, it goes to W, and then on and on. •Once you summon something, the slot in which it was pops empty/open again for refilling. •Extravasation has its own cooldown, otherwise it would be OP. _ Outside combat: Catharsis: Kim opens her scroll to draw, gaining extra vision range. If hidden, Kim draws much faster. If she moves, gets interrupted or even takes any damage, the process is ceased. Inside combat: Extravasation: Kim consumes half an Outflow bar or lots of HP to spit out a great ink cloud while knocking herself free of effects. Enemies caught are afflicted with Cursed Sting, heavily slowed, and cannot see Kim for a while. Instead, enemies only see a discreet trail of ink stains left by her movement.

Essential comments, simulations and situations:
On how terms and effects from Kim’s Set make perfect sense! • Outflow means not only to flow outwards, but also a discharge of emotions. So does Catharsis, but this one is more related to artistic discharge of emotions! Now look again at Kim’s mechanic from this point of view…. • Extravasation also means Hemorrhage. • Kim’s Nether Vector works just like a pen. You put pressure on its tip, the ink flows out. But in our case, ink means blood, so that’s why you spend HP in Skills and basic attacks. • Kim’s different Living Nightmares refers to different things nightmares could cause or afflict. Reapers mean pain itself, Wasps are fear and panic, and Bloaters… Bloaters express the dreamer’s hopeless attempt to fight a nightmare! • If you put too much pressure on a pen, it bursts ink… And oh, an octopus also does that, as a defense mechanism! BAM, Extravasation!!
**Kim can exceed very well in the jungle, her main role: ** • Her resource and passive grants quick and reliable recovery • Her Q can tank neutral monsters to preserve from damage on early levels •If prepared, can react to enemy jungler’s counter jungle attempt and maybe even turn it around. •Junglers are hidden/out of combat most part of the time. So Kim doesn’t have to worry about peer pressure and can draw quickly/peacefully inside cover, most part of the time. • A jungler means supporting damage(usually per second), effectiveness to ganking, crowd control, versatility, independence, map awareness and control… Voilá!
**Kim’s pack is very versatile, if played correctly: ** • A crowd-control focused set can engage and disengage with ease • Stacking Reapers turns Kim into a nicely adapted damage carry • Packing Bloaters can lock down carries for a decent time • Saving and keeping a Swarm turns out as a great emergency tool, especially in synergy with Extravasation’s reliability • Stacking is cool, but combining different or even all summonings can also do wonders • Being caught in a hustle won’t be an actual problem if you think quickly, react, disengage, prepare, and then reengage with full force. • You must get focused to keep your mechanic inside its strategical cicle. • When in Abstinence, attacking and moving at the same time will empty your resource too quickly. If you wish to stay in abstinence for longer, you need to focus more on only one of them!
Kim is oddly fun and balanced: • Being able to plan endless kinds of plays according to your team’s need is incredibly cool and ever exciting. • Damage and/or crowd-control. It's your call. • Level up and build properly to get insec drawing, casting and reengaging speed! • Kiting was now taken to a whole new level. • Summon a reaper to catch up that last hit, or punish an enemy champion. If it runs, summon more. • Creativity is your new main power source • Watch out for melee and stubborn champions who can ignore your attempts to escape and/or tirelessly chase you down • Fast nuking assassins are a problem. Daddy(Kassadin) is a problem. • Annoying enemies with predictable lock-down skills are not much of a problem anymore. In your face, Malzahar. • Drawing slowly while isolated? Watch out, you are certainly being watched…
Kim's ideal base build for versatility:
Guinsoo's rageblade: In addition to the hybrid bonuses, from which Kim can benefit very well, the passives also fit perfectly! The stacks blend with Kim’s constant casting, auto attacking, and the unique rage when in low health is a unique combo to her Abstinence status. Of course, when in the jungle, the Devourer enchantment in a Stalker’s Blade is a basic
. The slow and extra damage stacking is awesome for her. You could also experiment
Nashor’s Tooth,
Wits end,
Luden’s Echo, or maybe even
Hextech Gunblade. You must remember to get ability power, attack speed, cooldown reduction and penetration, but most importantly, HEALTH SUSTAIN!!!
Spit on the meta’s face with Kim: •Kim can also do very well in toplane, using brushes to stay hidden, farm from safety with bloaters or reapers, and using river’s route and brushes to gank her own lane. •Middle lane also wouldn't be that bad, if the player knows how to manage when to enter or leave combat, and maintain leveling and farming. By the way, having a good Kim player at the center of the map can put interesting map control all around. •Attack speed focused Kim brings damage per second and sustain to her kit. Pure ability power Kim grants more quick explosive damage waves.
Some interesting situations (good or bad) and strategies: • Kim takes a lot of damage without having built considerable Outflow. That way, she cannot benefit from her passive bonuses, and gets hopelessly eliminated. • Kim gets caught in an ambush inside a brush, but she has two swarms ready. Before taking any fatal blows, she casts a swarm in that brush, fearing enemies outwards. Then she follows them outside and casts Extravasation with another swarm, extending the fear’s effect into the ink cloud, while she safely goes back into cover to cast Catharsis and prepare herself for a reengage. • After a successful extravasation cast, Kim runs into a brush to prepare a reengage. Enemies manage to follow her trail, but when they enter a suspicious brush, they go directly into a bloaters taunt. Kim flashed across a wall, and now attacks from safety with two reapers until the taunt ends. • Kim is running in abstinence from a mobile assassin, and attempts to cast a kept swarm in the opposite direction to escape. The enemy, who predicted this, jumps the swarm with a gap closing skill and reaches Kim, who had Extravasation on cooldown and couldn’t react at all. • Kim sees the enemy team attempting to kill Dragon from the outer side of the dragon camp. So, she quickly flashes through the wall, casts Extravasation, and crosses to the gate of the camp, from where she casts multiple bloaters to distract the enemy jungler and carries while her team catches up for a safe objective steal. • Kim gets to a side brush in midlane for a gank. She prepares one bloater and a swarm, but the enemy jungler arrives from the river for a counter-gank. Kim immediately casts swarm in the brush and the bloater across the lane, which locks down the enemy midlaner. Now, she has to decide from helping her ally onto the taunted enemy; going back to somehow keep the enemy jungler occupied; or get to cover to prepare a reengage that could resolve bot problems. However, this must be done quickly, or else, that play is lost.

On Kim’s and Living nightmares’ in game behavior/body expression: •Kim’s expression and behavior should vary in game, for obvious reasons! :3
When outside combat: If Kim is not battling, she gets more afflicted by her visions. Therefore, behaving afflicted, showing difficulty to carry her Scroll around, and maybe covering her face with her hands would be a response to that. When inside combat: It would be awesome if Kim somehow exalted her wild side if in combat, like maybe arming the Nether Vector in a stinging position! When in Abstinence: Kim should go crazy in this state, consequently shivering, exhibiting her tongue, twitching, attacking differently, and maybe dragging her scroll instead of carrying it… Especially in the sprinting part. Basic Attacking: Having her basic attack passive in mind, scratching and clawing with the Nether Vector should be in all situations. I also find a sting-like movement pretty cool for some kind of critical hit. Basic attacking with a reaper: I picture a Reaper as a scythe-like thing, so slashing in a circular motion while preserving the sting animation alternately seems cool.
Bloaters and Swarms: A Bloater appears to me as a chubby creature, which would inflate, so an octopus-like thing makes a good fit. Then, those kinds could just float around, grow, and then pop on enemies’ faces. Now, about Swarms, they could fly in a chaotic pace and even make chaotic sounds, being either wasps or just flying voidlings. Drawing (Catharsis) and summoning: So, Kim doesn’t actually float, but I think it would be logic to lift a little bit off the ground by dark energies when drawing in her scroll, and this one also, so she doesn’t have to actually hold it in the process. Her summoning would feel good if she somehow swung her big scroll open, releasing the creature. In the Reaper’s case, it would be fancy if she scraped the Nether Vector on and outwards the scroll, as if pulling the Reaper out of it. Casting Extravasation: I first thought it would be neat for the ink to burst out from the Nether Vector, like a canon, so the recoil could easily be seen. Nevertheless, releasing the ink cloud from a spit or a sneeze would be cool.
Interlude:

: Inevitably, daddy still loves his little girl. But this doesn't stop him from knowing how to punish her and control all her crisi. I think Kass should take a position of somehow regreting having to hurt her if he needs too, but also knowing how to do it very well. Besides, he's a great counter to her. And Kim should act like hardly admitting she still cares about him, but still taking a stand against him. I think of interactions like: If allied: "That's a little bit awkward" "So, Daddy, how do you like my maturity?" I know it is not that full of details and numbers as other works, but i guarantee it will catch a lot of people's attention, since i got plenty for just announcing it! By sending this dream to you, I hope you really like it and embrace it, as I think the community itself would love it as much as me and my friends did. I believe that by working on this all these years, it made possible to have this concrete and solid idea, but that also could be changed and adapted by you guys however you believe is best, if you accept it, of course.
