Lloyd, The Brute of Zaun [Champion Concept]

First off I would like to say thank you for checking out my concept. I have kept it very rudimentary as there are no stats involved. They will be incorporated in an update in the future. Without further ado, I would like to introduce Lloyd, The Brute of Zaun.

Lloyd is a tanky physical fighter, making him perfect for top lane and one-on-one situations. His strength, reflexes, and ability to anticipate his enemies motions give him the cutting edge in every situation.

>Passive - Impulse Each kill that Lloyd gains gives him Impulse which gives him an attack boost to all abilities and basic attack's, stacking up to maximum. He loses Impulse upon death, or by getting 2 assists in a row.

This gives Lloyd his one on one dominance, but a risk in team fighting.

> Q - Uppercut Lloyd dashes towards his opponent and delivers an uppercut, knocking them up for a moment and dealing physical damage.

This allows Lloyd to help maintain his opponent's position, and keep them within melee range

> W - Succession Lloyd's attack speed is risen and he does true damage on the last punch

A bit of burst damage that helps put an enemy down

> E - Anticipate/Refreshed Passive - Lloyd negates some damage in a defense stance. Active - Cooldowns reduced some

This helps in different situations

> R - Winner by Knockout Lloyd delivers a massive punch knocking champions back considerably, if said champion collides with terrain they bounce back towards Lloyd and he clotheslines them dealing extra damage and stunning them.

Similar to LeeSin 's kick

>LORE

>Floyd was once a man of stature in Piltover, known for his philanthropist attitude over the chemical magnate built by his family. He was disgraced however, when he injected an experimental serum into himself which was rumored to make the injected incredibly strong, have instant reflexes, and give them the ability to anticipate someone's actions without flaw. The idea sempt great to Floyd as he was not much of a champion in the underground boxing matches he frequented, and maybe this could give him the upper-hand in his bouts. Floyd made a grave mistake as the serum altered his appearance, and made him a monster. He faced his parents in shame, and they expelled him from their fortune and was condemned to live in Zaun. With nowhere else to go he lived in the gym he boxed at, and trained for the upcoming tournament. In the first round, Floyd stuck his opponent and killed him instantly. The crowd rejoiced in an uproar that Floyd had never felt before. He quickly understood the power he had gained, and in a move forward he cast off his given name and called himself Lloyd the Brutal in the ring. As he flew through the ranks, beating the toughest opponents and crushing the top fighters he gained his ultimate prize, and was crowned The Brute of Zaun by the boxing fans. Soon he was noticed by the summoners and called upon for his duty and his brute strength.

Any suggestions are welcomed and appreciated, I will post another discussion with values and details.

Thanks!!

Some cool ideas in here but there seems to be a bit of mismatched identity. The theme of the character doesn't exactly run with what his abilities are. I read the abilities first and was tossed between what I thought was a trained assassin, a street rat, a martial arts expert and a pro wrestler. Nothing really stood out as a boxer, a monster or a man humbled or ashamed. I think the concept is cool but he needs to be more solid.

How about a boxer, drove from his home who struggles with a constant battle between honour and glory to reach the top. He could inject chemtech to win but hates having to fight like the Zaun scum he is matched against because of the dishonour and the effects it has on his mentality.

Read the abilities of a champion like Draven. His abilities tell you what he does without you even needing to see him. He kills for fame and glory and he loves himself as much as he loves showing off. And what about Jhin? The manic serial killer prizes beauty above all else. Killing is an art, and the world is his canvas.

The abilities aren't really interesting. Try a theme and make abilities around it. I'm looking forward to an update on this.

Lloyd don't sound like a brutes name

  1. Does two assists in a row mean two assists without kills, two assists without kills or deaths, or two assists in quick succession?

  2. His E doesn't specify what a defensive stance is, maybe it could be a toggle where when inactive gives defensive stats, and when ON gives CDR that can go over the max (even over intelligence mastery)?

  3. Is this like Vi Q, a dash, or Vi E, an auto attack boost (INSEC AUTOS)?

Lloyd is a Bbad Bboyd, and his kit leaves me Annoyd.

His design is impressive in how bare-bones it is and how little it brings to the table. He's a "tanky top laner" whose passive insists on snowballing, the essence of a feast or famine design, not to mention how straightforward all his abilities are. If a character that auto-dashes to you, knocks you into the air, and attacks you until you die can snowball, its overstatted, and if it can't, its underpowered.

I will say you've got some cool ideas here. The clothesline is sufficiently showy that I can visualize it working in game, which is good. What I think this concept needs is a little more fleshing out in new, interesting directions that could add gameplay decisions and outplay potential. The Chemtech aspect of his character hasn't quite been explored, the "Brute" title isn't fully committed to, and the monstrous appearance doesn't come into play at all.

All I can see in this concept is the ult. Aside from that one ability, you made a character with the character background of Mundo and the kit of Xin Zhao. Needs a lot more ideation, but you've got plenty of room to work with. Since you did design a successful ability, I'm excited to see what you come up with next!
