Gamemode Concept: Poro Rift Warfunds
Basic Concept: a war is taking place on summoner's rift rather than a tournament.
Key Components: Summoner's rift (top half winter version, bot half normal) redone with Poro housing along the walls near control points.
The poro's in each control point could have a distinct styles from other villages as they pop their heads out of windows to watch the action. One village near top lane might have Viking hats for instance while another would have scarves and earmuffs. In the sunny south another village might have circlets of flowers with another wearing top hats and monocles. Maybe one could have tiny aprons and a small statue of Ornn in their village while another has poros wearing volibear armor with a statue of volibear?
Herald would be replaced with a really big Poro that looks like it merged with Mundo so that it's basically a giant purple-furred creature with bent needles sticking out. It has a canister on it back that pops open occasionally to reveal a cookie: when struck from behind the cookie breaks and the poro takes the same amount of damage Herald does if something hits it within the next three seconds as it sniffs around on the ground munching broken cookie pieces.
Baron would be replaced with the Poro King who shall use poro versions of baron attacks such as towers of Knight poros bursting from the ground instead of tentacles or spitting Knight poros out who shall then run into nearby miniature bushes that don't allow champs to hide.
Towers deal an extra 30% max HP true damage and are immune to damage (glowy shielded goodness) except for 5 seconds after being bombed or from 'Herald' attacks, Baron powered Cannon Minions and super minions, or a special type of 'commando minion'.
Commando minions and bombs can be hired and bought using funds obtained through either selling parts from jungle monsters (aka just killing jungle monsters in general), or controlling various points around the map.
Commando Minions: 50 funds. Commando contracts take up the wards slot from hiring until placed. Each champion can hire a minion guard from each of the five guilds which consists of three commandos and act as wards able to attack people. Each commando has the strength of a super minion at range or twice that in melee. Alternatively, they can be placed down on an inhibitor but do not take up a static minion slot: Instead advancing down the lane. Commando minion contracts must be hired individually to avoid them becoming jealous of each other. Attempting to buy a commando contract while holding one starts a fight between some minion commandos near the fountain but otherwise does nothing.
Bombs: 100 funds. Are moved down a lane on a poro-sled with a minion on the back, the minion then kicks the bomb off the back at the first tower it comes to and the poro runs off to towards the nearest bush minion and all. If the minion on top is slain, the poro bites off the sled and flees to the nearest bush as the bomb detonates behind them.
Control Points: grant +1 funds to all team members once every five seconds, each control point starts locked and becomes locked for five minutes after being captured or until either team kills Baron or Dragon. (making it potentially detrimental to kill them)
Example control points: behind each of the twelve lane towers, inside each bush on the map, a fishing village at the end of the river on top lane and so on.
Modification to control points: Only provides vision to controlling team while above 80% control percentage.
Note on control points: Since control points provide vision, each bush suddenly becomes warded for the one controlling it: potentially causing major problems for stealth champions but also providing knowledge for the entire team.
Warfunds team upgrades: please note this part is very rough and basic. I am not a riot balance team member so don't sue me just because this likely isn't balanced. Probably needs modifying to some extent.
Upgrade Costs are: 240/480/960/1920/3840 funds. Please note that each control would give +1 to EACH member once every five seconds.
Warfunds Printer: +1 Basic funds to each teammate/5 seconds
Padded Armor: 5/10/20/40/80 armor
Resistance Runes: 5/10/20/40/80 MR
Anatomy Training: 5/10/20/40/80 Lethality
Magical Precision training: 5/10/20/40/80 Magic penetration
Daily Multi-Vitamins: +100/200/400/800/1600 Bonus Health
Lots of Exercise and Protean: +10%/20%/30%/40%/50% Max health
Enchanted Weaponry: +2%/4%/6%/8%/10% max health damage on any attack/ability. Cannot proc against the same champion more than once per second.
Death Rune Weaponry: +1%/2%/4%/8% of total damage dealt as true damage.
