New Champion: Alexander, First of the Rakkor
Hello everybody! I've added unit values to my champion design, and figured out how to format it to look better and not be a sore on the eyes. Let me know what you all think of Alexander!
Lore: Long ago, before the League of Legends and even before the Rune Wars, there existed a warrior who was said to be able to call the raw might of the sun down upon his enemies in combat. His name was Alexander Rakkor, and he would go on to claim the tallest mountain in all of Valoran, Mount Targon, for his tribe of warriors the Rakkor. When Alexander began to reach the height of his power in the later stages of his life, a new enemy arose in Valoran as creatures of the Void began to spill out across the land with no sign of stopping. He began a fearsome crusade against the hordes of Voidspawn, his Rakkor earning victory in every battle. In what seemed to be the final battle to extinguish the Voidspawn threat, a great monster appeared from the Void devouring everything in sight, both Rakkor warriors and minions of the Void alike, growing larger in size after each feast and turning the tide of the battle. In a last ditch effort for victory, Alexander tackled the beast through a gate back to the Void, never to be seen again. With the beast gone the Rakkor finished off the Voidspawn with ease, returning to Mount Targon where they would remain for centuries, never knowing what happened to their fearsome leader. Fast forward to the present, where both the Void and the Rakkor now hold a presence in the League of Legends. From seemingly nowhere Alexander appeared before the League Council, apparently still in pursuit of the great beast of the Void, who had become known as ChoGath. Upon learning that ChoGath was now a member of the League, Alexander immediately joined himself, finding the likes of Leona and Pantheon there already to welcome him. Nobody knows how he managed to survive in the void for this long, nor how he appears unscathed by time and the horrors that the Void holds, but something dark stirs within Alexander, something all but the most observant would never notice, a darkness that he must fight with all of his might to keep suppressed within.
Stats Heath – 580 (+88 per level) Health Regen – 8 (+0.8 per level) Armor – 27 (+3.6 per level) Magic Resist – 32 (+1.25 per level) Attack Damage – 55 (+3 per level) Attack Speed – 0.645 (+2.9% per level) Movement Speed – 335 Attack Range - 125
** Abilities** Passive – Champion of the Sun Alexander has an empty bar instead of mana that fill with Sunlight the more he uses his abilities. Upon filling the bar completely he becomes consumed by the void, silencing him for 10 seconds while increasing his Attack Damage by +50 (+1.5 per level)(+30% Attack Damage) and movement speed (+15) for the duration. Sunlight maxes out at +100, and then degenerates by -5 per second after not using an ability for 10 seconds.
Q – Sunlights Blade Passive: Alexanders sword is enchanted with sunlight, dealing a bonus +16/20/25/30/35 Magic Damage per hit Active: Alexander's sword doubles its reach and deals an extra +15/18/25/30/40 (+30% Ability Power) Magic Damage and generating +5 Sunlight per hit. This effect lasts 4/4.2/4.4/4.7/5 seconds and has a 21/19/17/15/13 second cooldown.
W – Sunlights Protection Active: Alexander calls forth the power of the Sun, granting him +10/15/20/25/30 Armor (+10% of Bonus Armor) and +10/15/20/25/30 Magic Resist (+10% Magic Resist). This effect can be turned on or off and generates +5 Sunlight per second. This effect also increases nearby allies Armor/Magic Resist by 5/6/8/10/15 for the duration. Sunlights Protection has an 8/7/5/4/3 second cooldown.
E – Sunfire Active: After a .2 second delay, Alexander plants his shield into the ground, firing a long yet narrow ray of Sunfire (2500 units) from its center thats direction can be controlled by cursor, dealing /30/40/50/60/80 (+40% Ability Power) (deals 1.5x damage to minions and monsters) Magic Damage per second to all minions in front of him, stopping at the first champion hit and slowing them by 33%. This ability roots Alexander, but can be upheld for cost of +20/18/16/14/12 Sunlight per second. Sunfire does not have a cooldown timer.
R – Sunlights Shield Passive: As long as Sunlight's Shields cooldown is up, Alexander ignores +20% of all damage done to him when facing away from the attacker. Active: Alexander takes his shield off of his back and slams it into the ground, leaving it and creating a giant wall of light (900 units, 105 degree angle) that blinds and slows (-35/50/65% Movement Speed) enemies facing him for 3 seconds, dealing 100/150/200 (+50% Ability Power) blocking all incoming damage and projectiles for the duration. Alexander and his allies can pass through the shield, however enemies cannot. If an ally is facing the shield, they are inspired and gain +25% movement speed. This ability instantly maxes out his Sunlight bar and is on a 180/150/120 second cooldown.
Friends: Leona, Pantheon, Kassadin Rivals: ChoGath, VelKoz, Malzahar
Notes: Alexander is meant to appear as a man in his early 50s with graying hair, with beaten down armor and torn clothing. He carries a longsword in his right hand and a large shield on his back. He is not a very versatile champion, and is played as a support or in the top lane. His greatest weakness is his mobility, throwing him into the growing class of juggernauts in League. His build consists of items like Sunfire Cape, Steraks Gage, Randuins Omen, Banshees Veil, Black Cleaver, and Titanic Hydra. Using Alexanders Q and W give him strength in trades, but his real power lies in his ability to slow or chase a fleeing enemy, using his E to slow or finish a champion, or using his passive to chase an enemy down, then escaping further danger with the passive on his R. During team fights Alexander has many uses, he can use his W to add protection to his team, deal damage at the front with his Q, slow down escaping damage dealers with his W, or aid in his teams escape with his R, potentially turning around a fight. Using Alexanders passive correctly is tricky, since it gives of any kind of access to crowd control he has, and also takes away any kind of protection available to him through his abilities. While it has a high potential for dealing damage, being caught by any crowd control or ranged abilities spells game over.
Update: So apparently the only way to get these noticed is by having cool art with them, which kind of sucks, but I'll do my best to show everybody what I was hoping this champion would look like, with further updates, sometime in the next few weeks. Please continue to let me know what you think about the champion, criticism is always helpful!
for an insane harrassment. It would be perfect for his W to make his attacks deal full magic damage, also reduce the ratio on it because for an on-hit it is insane, so far it seems that he could benefit a lot more from Magic Pen and AS items than flat magic damage because he is not designed to burst people down, and the ultimate would be awesome on a TF.
It could even go as far for a
+ W + my item for a harrassment combo, and then go tanky.
