Champion Concepts - Tartarus

Hello fellow summoners, i have a tons of ideas for champions and would love to share them and get feedback off of them. So this will be the first of many Champions that i will talk about.

  1. *Tartarus - The One Eyed Mountain Crusher * The idea behind Tartarus is that he is a cyclops that has massive damage outputs, however has a drawback of being really slow (like maybe in the range of 250-300 starting movement speed). As well as this, he is not to bright so even tho he is sturdy as a cyclops should be, he is dumber than a potato. Now let me get into his abilities.
  • Passive- After a period of time, Tartarus becomes clumsy and will stumble and fall over, however to prevent him from being a punching bag, he will have a large blast radius (enough to cover an adc's range) that would stun and do some sort of percentage of damage to those in the radius.
  • Q- His Q is his main source of damage, Tartarus has a club that he uses to do an massive amount of damage. He must be close to the enemy to activate it, and it can not be canceled.
  • W- After Tantarus takes a good 300-700 damage (varied by level) goes into a enraged fit, where he receives a shield and gains movement speed for 5 seconds but you cannot control when it stops, only where it goes. When the time runs out it goes directly into his passive.
  • E- He absorbs all incoming damage for 3 seconds and either can use the incoming damage for his Q, or use it in a roar for a stun. That's time is determined by how much damage is absorbed (.2 seconds per 100 damage).
  • R(Nap Time)- Tantarus lays down and take a quick power nap where he is given a shield that absorbs 500 incoming damage and replenishes his health for 6 seconds (20% of his health per second).

The gameplay behind Tartarus would be most likely top tank. You may would need to build some health/damage items to get the full affect of his q. With all of his cc, he will be quite the hard tank to kill in and out of lane. However if you can kite him effectively, then you will have a good shot at killing him. In large team fights, you should use your e when the enemy engages, then when given the chance use w to get the additional cc. All of this is just concept and obviously needs tweeks and add ons, that is why im slapping it into the forums to get the community feedback, stay updated for my future concepts.

Some of this has potential, but it could use some work.

PASSIVE His passive could easily be a resource bar, like mana or energy. Whenever he moves, he gains a few points in a 100/200 point bar, whenever he auto-attacks, he gains a bit more than the walk. If he misses his q (assuming it's some sort of non-click ability), he would gain a large chunk of his bar, possibly scaling on damage or just a flat amount. His w is quite well thought out. A little like a mini Sion ult, but it's good.His e is a bit tricky. You could say it acts like the 'Bide' move in most Pokemon games. He channels energy, not concentrating on other things, like motor functions, causing him to build up his bar. His R on the other hand, seems almost out of place. You've created a titan that can dish out damage and has the potential to be more mobile than some really heavy tanks out there, but you add some kind of Mundo ult that makes him stop all together? It even regenerates more than 100% health. People could totally ignore this guy after he ults, then he'd just be a wall of meat after his friends die. Best solution (in my opinion) is to revamp that ult. The ult could jump on them, and anyone directly under Tartarus could possibly be stunned for 1/3/5 seconds, and everyone in a radius around him gets knocked up and they all take a certain amount of damage per % of max health.

Q His Q is quite an impressive idea, but you didn't specify anything about what the ability really was. Is it a click-on? An on-hit effect? Hell, it could even be some kind of in-a-wave ability, like Cho'Gath's W.

If you really want him to be a tank, you'd use some kind of health % thing to figure out how much damage it does, with a slight ad ratio, so you can have some early game harass.

W First, I think you should change the w name, because that's Ammumu's E. Would it be more difficult like Sion ult? As it increases in speed? Or is it like a Poppy w, and it just gives a quick boost? Overall, it's pretty good.

E I like the 'Bide' mechanic, but I think the stun duration ratio should go from .2 and keep moving up, like to .5. After you can take a bunch of damage, you should be able to provide enough cc to let your team capitalize.

R The way I see it, you just gotta fix this in general. If he gets caught out, it's a death sentence if his team doesn't come to help, and he can be easily ignored if he does it during teamfights. Maybe if it was some kind of ground pound that stunned/ knocked up like passive, it could be useful. Even better, if it could chain with passive, timing it could provide devastating stuns. Imagine being knocked up by ult then being stunned for 3 seconds? Something along those lines could be implemented. Maybe you could just let him "sleepwalk" and he could heal, so he's not entirely useless, and due to the disorientation of a power nap, he immediately activates passive.

Well, i like the idea of tartarus, or a cyclops....

but tartarus isnt a cyclops...

srry for my greek mythology geekiness but it irritates me. tartarus is a huge living creature in the underworld that monster are thrown into.

anyway, i do like the idea, but it needs major changes.
