Because I can't get hextech unless RNGesus smiles upon mystery gifting, I was just wondering if any Sion skins were in the pipeline. Just wondering cuz main.

Scrolling through this thread, this seems to be a pretty popular idea. I love the idea, personally. I think there are some awesome opportunities for some really cool particles.

Sion's VU expanded his horizons immensely. There's a whole frontier that was previously unavailable to him; I want this new direction to take advantage of this frontier. I'm a huge fan of his default skin, but what's the point of a VU if you can't give that person better-quality skins?

I agree - any large scale visual update really opens the gates as to what we can do. Older rigs and animation sets limit us a bit - Mordekaiser is a good example of this. But, Sion's VU was huge, and gave us something brand new and shiny to play with!

I'd love to give him a skin with all kinds of bells and whistles because that's something his catalog of skins is currently lacking. I was really excited to work on PROJECT: Yi because that skin really enhanced his catalog of skins. We gave him something none of his skins had!

Warring Kingdoms Sion. You could make him look like Xu Huang or Dian Wei.

Oooh! This is a really interesting idea. I don't think it's ever crossed my mind to bring Sion into the Warring Kingdoms line, but Xu Huang and Dian Wei are both awesome reference points. I think if we took inspiration from both, there's potential for a really awesome skin. I'm definitely keeping this idea in my pocket to bring up when it comes time for Lunar Revel ideations! ;]

I really like the idea of combining them :3 Dian Wei I felt was more thematically appropriate, since he uses an axe plus an armored gauntlet, which is exactly what Sion uses, plus his high collar and bald of awesome just fit Sion. But Xu Huang's big axe is a better fit for Sion, and honestly, the fact that his outfit is so different from Sion makes it appealing as a skin. If you do decide to amalgamate the looks for a Warring Kingdoms skin, I do hope you at least keep Xu Huang's sweet hat/hood thingy :D

I absolutely agree with you! When we work on new skins, we take inspiration from several places, and having two solid references lend so many awesome opportunities. (The hood is pretty sweet, and I'd really like to see it incorporated.)

How about a bioforge/augmented skin? Have his play with the robotic themes that look a little more gritty then his hextech skin would be awesome!

Also quarterback sion! He carries around a broken goal post instead of an axe, and when he ults you hear a whistle instead of the loud gong noise. That'd be amazing.

While on topic about the bioforge/augmented skin I think the coolest thing about this skin could be his passive, he dies and then all the tubes sticking out if his body start glowing, and he goes beserk as his pulsing veins start to glow, kinda like bane when he goes a little too nuts on venom

Well, there's...

Blight Crystal Sion
Neon Strike Sion (He could really use a 'fun' skin such as this, since his current collection offers pretty much only serious skins),
Linebacker Sion
Bioforge Sion (I couldn't find any concept for this and my Wacom tablet kinda stopped working today so it basically is just an idea, but you can imagine what it'll be like- Something along the lines of Bioforge Darius and with acid-green particles).
And of course, if you haven't seen your colleague's amazing work yet... Pretty Princess Sion :D

Also, a little note- While I did mention that he lacks 'fun' skins, I think that Bioforge and Blight Crystal Sion skins would be great additions to his collection as they're still two unique themes that his other skins don't feature generally.

Let's use Pretty Pretty Princess Sion as a base point. :P Do you think it'd be funny because of the thematic versus the VO, or do you think it'd be something in a legendary tier where he'd get new VO?

Linebacker Sion is a fantastic idea for a fun skin. I think it not only plays nicely with his VO, but it also works really well into his kit.

Yeah, Flaming Unitard has a good point, as a new VO has potential for something really awesome.

Please don't hire a new actor though- I'd love if Scott McNeil (his new/current voice actor) did it.

I think that skins like Linebacker and Neon Strike Sion won't necessarily require new voiceover (Maybe just filters for Neon Strike or something). I think that because Pretty Pretty Princess Sion plays an even sillier theme than Linebacker and Neon Strike, new voiceover would work great (Along with new animations- Maybe he could hop a little 'like a little girl/princess' when he walks/runs, hold his dress in his hand in certain occasions- If it was a long dress- but he still has to retain that brutal juggernaut warrior guy and show through his animations- Perhaps in the way he moves- and his voiceover, but not necessarily like a very royal princess all the time- He'll still try hard though, to become a real princess, and that should be shown to: My point is that he needs to retain his brutal attitude, but still try to fit into his princess role, and the two things have to be balanced around each other, if you get what I'm saying).

That's a good workaround, and something that could easily fall into a 1350 RP skins versus Legendary. Although, let's be real, we all want Pretty Pretty Princess / Star Guardian Sion to be legendary. :P

I would prefer a new VO. I'm not a fan of the voice not fitting the model, having a fitting voice is much better. So... Legendary?

Speaking of legendary, shouldn't Surprise Party Fiddlesticks get a new VO? It's a legendary skin, after all.

Some of the older legendary skins do not have all the bells and whistles that current legendary skins do. At this time, we aren't planning updates.

Surprise Party Fiddlesticks is a legendary skin, but one that is permanently discounted to 975 RP in celebration of League's two year anniversary. It's similar to how Primetime Draven is a legendary skin that's permanently discounted to 975 RP as a thank you for supporting the esports scene.

The difference is that those 6 skins (for Annie, Tristana, Twisted Fate, Heimerdinger, and Corki) are legacy. Corki has two. Surprise Party Fiddlesticks is the the only non-legacy legendary skin without a voiceover. You could get some pretty funny quotes to go along with that theme. "Surprise!"

Though Surprise Party Fiddlesticks is still the best Fiddlesticks skin (imo), with or without a new voiceover.

Oh man. There's so many good ideas here, mine feels less amazing... oh well.

Imagine farming up mid because you just killed your lane opponent. You think you're safe thanks to wards. You think you'll just push to tower then B. You think... then you hear it. The warning sound of Sion's ult. Then you hear him.

You try to run, but it's too late. "HAP-PY BIRTH-DAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAY" he screams as he comes barreling down mid-lane and plows into you. He smacks you with his giant candle-axe and then raises it into the air, bringing it down upon you and knocking you up again. "PINATA TIME!" You stare in horror as the funfetti and balloons condense around him, absorbing your attacks as they prepare to explode. "FUN... WITH... HELIUM!" As you struggle to your feet and attempt to hobble away, you are struck by one of your own minions, sent flying by Sion's shouts "YOU FORGOT YOUR PRESENTS!"

The rest of your team arrives, but it's too late. Surprise Party Sion has already partied you to death. As the screen turns grey, you watch the party continue, Sion eventually falling. But as always, the party's only over when Sion says it's over. "CAAAAKE" he screams as he beats on your allies "WANT. MORE. CAAAAAKE"

Remember kids. Sion's idea of a party involves blood everywhere. :D

And just imagine the horror... Surprise Party Amumu Jungle, Fiddlesticks Mid and Sion Top...

Underworld Sion with the ethereal Shadow Isles could really amp up how undead looks. It would also deliver on a vision of Sion as another part of the reanimated characters of the cast.
