Morgana's Spellshield

Is there still any reason that it provides complete cc immunity? I mean sure it's a "spell shield" and supposed to protect from magic and stuff, but someone slamming down an axe so hard that people fly away (Sion's q) or a robot shooting out a mechanical arm to grab them (Blitz q) should penetrate the cc immunity, especially if it deals physical damage. What are Riot's thoughts on this?
