@Riot How About an Anti-Shield Ability?

I've had this idea for a while now but why not give a champion, preferably a support, an anti- or inverse-shield ability? As the name implies this ability would do the opposite of a shield and do damage, looking something like this:

'Anti-shield'- After a delay, Caster places a shield on an enemy champion that absorbs healing and shielding affects and does bonus damage at the end of the duration based on heals and shields supposed to be received + Caster’s AP.

Ideally it would be a direct counter annoyances like Soraka Nami and Sona who spam healing without forethought or for dealing with champions that simply refuse to die Fiora Irelia andVladimir.

Of course the ability would have its downsides like:

  • A cooldown similar to Yasuo's WindWall or even just be made an ultimate ability itself.
  • Being able to target only one champion.
  • Short casting range.
  • etc.

Thematically I think it would work best on a witch doctor or hex, character.

typically that is consider to be damage...

and if someone shields why not CC them while they shielded therefore negating their escapes and as soon as the shield/cc wears off blow them up ?

Or, you could wait until the shield wears off before firing your combo...

I think having it on an item would be better than on a champ. That champ wouldn't be near its full potential if the enemy doesnt have big shields/heals.
