Pro Bruiser, Anti- Carry/ Tank Item idea. introducing, Stoneskin.
Cutting the crap and getting into it the idea of stonekin is to have an item designed around transferring movement speed into defensive stats to a cap. Please no 99% self slows but a significant amount of MS sacrificed for protection of course not at the users leisure. Tanking damage could draw 5% of your MS in return for a nice chunk of MR and armor.
You might be thinking how that is appealing to Bruisers only and not carries to abuse for free safety stats or tanks to use to become SUPER HUGE...well it's the fact that Carries need to keep moving, tanks are already slow, adding more of that surely will not help them and because bruisers/fighters typically have good mobility.
can all get into a fight, their biggest problem is dealing damage and tanking. They either have to abuse a type of itemization or just flat out focus on one of the two in order to truly be effective.
The reason why I think this item should have % MS drop instead of flat is mostly because that'd just be easier to work with. Another reason as to why it'd be only appealing to bruisers is that it'd give no health, just armor, mr or both armor and MR. While tanks are will be foaming at the mouth for an item that gives MR and Armor that isn't ZZ'rot the idea of being slower then a snail stuck in glue will quickly deter them.
Now assassins might seek out the item since they typically have mobility, go deep into the enemy team and need general protection but a steep price will likely make them think twice about the item, not to mention that the build path won't be the item's power but it's passive stonekin which means that taking damage will be a prerequisite of being able to use the active I have in mind.
So when this unofficial cap is reached, the user will be able to transfer their suffering to a target. The slow cap would be throw towards a zone in a small aoe slowing field allowing the bruiser to either escape or engage. Focusing on the engage aspect, typically when you have a bruiser at the top lane, your team loses out on that perk.
Again, tank mains calm yourself mostly you
with your mobility and stats on your stats and
with your ability to steal MS...really what's up with that?
Again, no power would actually come from the item path just the passive and active. A negatron cloak and a chain vest aren't exactly going to stop a Darius from turning Maokai into fire wood.
The steep price might be seen as a turn off for bruiser but the attraction to it will mostly come from the idea of them really having no other choice. As unfair as that sounds I thin kit's fair to pay a large sum of money to get on the arc then to not even be allowed to gaze upon it as it sails away.
So is this a good or terrible idea?
