Need tips on recording youtube clips / full game vod

I have never recorded anything on computers, I tried out the built in replay system & OBS but the quality is pretty poor on both (Also low fps on OBS). Are there any easy to use recording programs what work on a MSI gaming laptop? It has capped 144 fps in LoL so it should not drop too low when turning on recording. I just want to save some of my games on youtube to see my improvement & watch funny things that happened in my games.
