Melee mages

Why are like all mages forced to be ranged. Azir should stab not zap. Why is zel koz got such love tentacles. Just to make then fit better, stop forcing ranged mages. It seems lazy seeing as most throw a colour out of their hand. Im not saying the should all be meele, just that if they're going to be ranged, make them look ranged(weapon, staff,etc)
