Before you go crazy, hear me out.
I have a lot of IP stocked up and most likely won't be using it since I have every champ I want/need and every tier 3 rune. It should be a thing where if you get a certain amount of IP, like 30k, 50k etc, you can use it to buy a skin. But you can only buy certain skins, and the skin will cost that much IP, meaning you'll emtpy out your bank account pretty much. The only reason I could see this being a downfall is people botting for IP. Thoughts?
I feel you should be able to trade IP for RP
Like for example: 10k IP = 500 RP
Something like that. That might be too extreme.
A compromise would be letting people use large amounts of IP, to basically skip waiting for a skin to go on sale, or get skins that are other wise unavailable;e and thus wasted resources,
10,000IP=50% off any normally available skin priced at 1350RP or lower
50,000IP=able to buy any skin that is part of special sales out of season for normal price,
100,000=able to buy any limited skin at 2000RP
An idea is to have a single skin for every champion cost IP, probably just a recolor. It would be very expensive, and only to be used on the die-hard fans who don't spend money on LoL, and who have a crap ton of IP. This would allow them SOME customization, with very little required from Riot. And the skin would not be easy to get, it would take tons of games to get a single skin.
If Riot did this it would have to be fair like all other forms of currency, as in you get extra on cash because it's cash, THAT IS MONEY!
If IP could be converted into RP it would have to be on a 1000:100 Ratio, and you could only get bonuses RP on this when the bonus RP things come around. And besides this would be most fair because then if by chance that new champ that people have been waiting for comes out they have to complete 7800 IP for a champ they want to play or 780 RP for a skin with no VFX updates (ie: Sweetheart Annie).
1000 IP= 100 RP 5000 IP = 500 RP 10000 IP = 1000 RP
That way you have to put in the WORK to get the RP you desire.
