Mid Year Mage Updates - Cassiopeia rework concept
Hi there. So with upcoming Mid Year Mage Updates, I have decided share my own concepts for some of the champions that are gonna be reworked. In the text below I describe each skill and under you will find my comment about the change I suggest and why do I think it shall work well that way (the text of my comments is wrote by italic letter and closed between parenthesis - just like this). I would like to add, that none of the numerical values are meant to be exact - things needs to be tested and calculated properly - so I write just approximate numerical values - sometimes I even use "x*" instead of number - that means Im totally not sure about numerival value. Well I hope this will help the Riot Developers at least a bit :)
Cassiopeia:
/passive/** Lethal Dose** With her Q, W and R, Cassiopeia can poison her enemies for 10 + 1 x lvl magic damage per second for 6 seconds. If an enemy champion dies, while poisoned he will recive 1 pernament stack of Lethal Dose. Cassioppeias poison deals to poisoned enemy champions extra 1% of their maximal HP in magic damage for each stack of Lethal dose. _ (This shall change the inpact and main point of Cassios passive into something, what actually feels like poison - instead of just buffing herself, Cassio will be forced to try hard to get as many assists as possible in order to debuff her enemies with stacks of Lethal Dose. This will also force enemy players to think twice about every tactial change - every player will think twice, if he wants more Lethal Dose stacks on himself - in many situations they might realize, that its not worth to die and get more stacks on themself in order to get for example turret or dragon. Cassio will also profit from sucide killers - the 1v1 fight where both champions die shall be win for Cassio, as she gets advantage in future fights towards this enemy.)_
/Q/ Noxian Arrow Cassiopeia shots a projectile of poison dealing magic damage to first enemy hit and poisoning him. If the enemy target dies mana cost for this skill is refunded. If Noxian Blast hits already poisoned enemy, Cassiopeia will recive movement speed bonus.
(Simple and yet for this kit very effective skills - allows Cassio to last hit minions easier and provides poke/kite. The change skill shape from Blast to Arrow, not only should make her playstyle more challengeing, but it also refers to Medusa who originally used a bow as a weapon.)
/W/ Miasma Cassiopeia releases a cloud of poison, lightly damaging and slowing any enemy that happens to pass through it. Cloud grows in size over 7 seconds. (Just leave it as it is.)
/E/ Petrifying Gaze Cassiopeia releases a swirl of magical energy from her eyes, stunning any enemies in front of her that are facing her and slowing any others with their back turned.
(Naturally the range of skill and damage shall be reduced massivly. The character of this skill however asks for lower cooldown. Especially the possibility of counter play from enemy will bring funny aspect of micro plays to lane phase. More frequent use shall open opportunities to experiment for both Cassio and her enemy.)
/R/ Twin Fang Cassiopeia lets loose a damaging attack at her target. Enemy target hit by Twin Fang will be weakned towards poison - damage dealt by poison will be increased by 15% for each Twin Fang - this effect can stack. Cassiopeia can store a charges for this skills up to 8.
(Here I suggest to move Cassios biggest power into her ultimate. Twing fang shall have relativly low cooldown, like 30 second, and the cooldown shall be lowered with each charge, to make it possible for her to store maximum charges. Then when it comes to fight, Cassio can decide wether to use all Twin Fangs at a single target and pretty much ensure his death, or if she wants to split her Twin Fangs in order to deal massive damage in team fight. She will be still able to spam Twin Fangs, however not without limit - in exchange she shall use this "moment of spam" to effectivly boost her poison towards selected targets and eventually bring them to death.)
