Alpha Client Improvement

I saw that the new alpha client isn't closing when entering the game, which leads my computer to lag... Unlike the other client this client isn't getting minimized and continues using huge amount of ram... I would like to know if there will be an update that will make the new client get minimized and "stop working" when i enter the game because my pc is't the most powerful out there.... Thx a lot.
