Sona Rework
Sona
is constantly being buffed or nerfed, I haven't played this game long but from what it sounds like shes either really good or insanely bad. While it seems like riot is trying to stop the enchanter meta I think it would be cool if they justed changed sona a little bit to fix the issues in her kit people find oppressive rather than the things people don't really mind Cough damage aura.
By far the most annoying this in her kit is her Q Streamers from her hymm of valor, they travel really far and are essentially impossible to miss unless master yi q's or something of that nature happens but other than her auto's its her only reliable safe poke damage. (Auto's can be risky and are highly punishable). If her Q's streamers worked like a reverse zoe Q this might be alot better, as the sound goes farther away from sona it grows fainter and therefore does less damage but if the enemy champion is near her or in her aura it would then do considerably more damage. The same mechanic could apply to her healing aswell making positioning with sona different from other champions and adding some depth to her kit.
Another issue with sona is that some people don't even level up her e untill level 4, 5, or potentially 7 depending on playstyle. Its a useful ability but its not worth loosing the damage/healing with early to put levels into. Alot of champions are like this but it might add some variety to give her e a streamer that goes to the nearest champion and makes her next note on them do extra healing/damage/slow/damage down etc. This might be a bit OP and may take a bit of adjusting however as her E CD is fairly low late and even early it might be abuse able
I say this in alot of my posts but sona is a really unique champion in the fact that she has alot of utility but not alot of peal which is kind of where her weakness comes from, now this isn't bad she shouldn't have tons of hard CC or displacements her ult is more than enough but I don't think she should be forced into anyone play style or meta, i think she should be able to build damage/healing/utility and do equally well in all of them have it not be frowned upon. With riots recent changes it feels like its less viable because she doesn't get the AP for the base stats she no longer has with
and soon there not even going to be as strong as they were before, riot nerfed her damage to try and make her more balanced but by nerfing the aura's it feels like they discouraged her from building healing and encouraged her to build AP to make up for the last stats making items like
. Better on her than they were before. This makes her less oppressive early laneing phase but worse once she finally gets the damage item she might not regularly build. Simply put, if they don't want to rework her it might be helpful to reduce the scaling back, revert the base damages, and minimize her actually Q streamer damage, maybe even buff the aura damage at levels 1-5 to let her be strong in fights while not having the oppressive poke that she would have if she was completely reverted.
Btw, Im a sona main I have just over 300K points on the champion so im not trying to hate on her im just being honest, her win-rates tanked after the patch and in all honesty Riot isn't really helping (Despite trying to and that being a good thing) they've simply made sona players less happy while still letting the people who play against her be upset against her poke in laning phase. All in all its a loose for everyone the people playing her and against her nobody wins atm.
before im done I got a question; do you all think an enchanter meta is actually bad? I kinda touched on this once before however I think the meta where people die less quickly Despite this enabling hyper carries is alot less toxic than a meta where assassins one shot people despite them running away and having people trying to peal for them, and alot less toxic than them getting ran down by tanks while a entire team tries to stop the
chode gath with 10K HP, or the stacked syndra ult 1 shoting whoevers closer to her. People like getting kills, but people hate dying, and i think most people are willing to kill a little less to die alot less aswell <3
