"The Black Mist ebbs and flows like the tide, yet now and then, on a night much like tonight, it reaches far across the sea..." Like really?? Seriously?? That's sooo Nami-related. Ebb and Flow ability, and "I decide what the tide will bring". Maybe Haunted Nami or something.

On the night of The Harrowing, the spirits of the Shadow Isles possess Nami to make the tide do their bidding. Actually, it says the Black Mist ebbs and flows like the tide and is described as if the Black Mist is alive. So it reaches far across the sea and takes control of Nami (instead of the spirits). Just a little idea I thought I'd throw out there.
