EDIT 1:Forgot to mention that this is a WIP EDIT 2: Q cooldown down from 5 to 2 second Q ap scaling up from 30 to 45% E cooldown up by 5 seconds at all levels EDIT 3: Mana cost added to E:80 at all levels Mana cost added to R:100 at all levels EDIT 4: Signature HP changed: 100/112.5/125 (+5 per 100 AP) % of HP lost EDIT 5:Finally decided the duration of E: 5 seconds EDIT 6:W damage scaling with AP up: from 60% to 80% Passive now empowers minion damage vs towers.

Me and a friend have been wondering that there are a lot of books and codexes and nomicons in lol but there isnt any champion that actually writes anything at all. We also noticed a lack of Gandalf/Dumbledore/Macros-like characters (well aside from Ryze and with his recent rework he kinda strayed away from it). So we thought of the concept for an ancient writer-mage that wrote all the greatest best-sellers in lol (Ryze's scroll, morellonomicon, lost chapter, Karthus's necronomicon, etc.) could be fun. We ended up with a mage with a kit that i would actually really enjoy seeing in lol, hope you like it. We would be glad to hear your opinions about it.

Passive- Inspiration- Shudo gets a stack of inspiration everytime nearby allies or enemies use an ability. Every 10 stacks grant him 1% current and max cooldown reduction.

Shudo inspires nearby minions making them do extra damage to towers and inhibitors (how much is still to be decided).

Shudo cannot use basic attacks but his abilities's channel speeds scale with his attack speed.

Q- Capital Rune- 30 mana - 2 seconds - Shudo writes a spell on his tome and causes damage on an opponent. If it kills the target the cooldown is reset and the mana spent is restored. Applies on-hit effects. Magic Damage: 40/60/80/100/120 (+45% AP) (+50% total AD)

W- Verses of Agony - 60/65/70/75/80 mana - 20/19/18/17/16 seconds - Shudo writes a chant over up to 3 seconds that deals magic damage over the duration of the channel and slows the movement speed and attack speed of foes in an area around him.

Total Magic Damage: 90/130/170/210/250 (+80% AP) (+80% total AD)

Slow: starts at 30% but gets higher depending on how fast the channel is.

E- Mark of Vision- 30/29/28/27/26 seconds - 80 mana - Shudo marks a rune on the ground beneath him and creates an area for 5 seconds where enemies take 5/6/7/8/10% bonus damage from all sources (including true damage) and Shudo heals for the bonus damage dealt. Enemies outside can’t see into the field and enemies inside cant see anything outside.

R- Signature- 350/325/300 seconds - 100 mana - Shudo loses half his current HP to seal a wall, the floor, a neutral monster, or an allied champion with his signature. If he signs the floor or a wall his signature remains there until destroyed and has 100/112.5/125 (+5 per 100 AP) % of the HP he lost. If he marks an ally champion or a neutral monster, the unit gets a shield that lasts until destroyed equal to 100/125/150% of the HP he lost. (Signature cannot be cast on signed units)

When Shudo hits 0 HP he gets teleported to the nearest Signature, destroys said signature and gets HP equal to the amount the signature has (this can mean the actual signature HP or the amount of shield left on a unit). If there are no signatures left then he dies.

Interesting concept, but I have a few questions and suggestions.

What are the attack ranges for each of the skills?

Passive: Your description is a bit vague. Are the inspiration stacks permanent or temporary? Is there a hard cap for the max cooldown reduction? (<- Otherwise this can get pretty abuse-able with a Karthus on your team)

What's the reasoning why Shudo cannot auto attack? How long are this guy's cast-times to justify this passive? They aren't specified except for one skill...

Q: Is it a skillshot or point and click skill? This damage scaling is very similar to Karthus's Lay Waste, but its damage is pretty low considering it's a single-target skill.

W: Can Shudo move and cast freely during this duration? The wording is a bit awkward. How high does the slow and attack speed debuff go?

E: Not sure about amplification of true damage. Not even Vladimir's ult does that. Overall I think this skill is a bit overloaded. Having a damage amplification, a heal, and sight reduction on one skill is a bit overkill.

R: This skill is interesting, but it is a bit odd and out of place. It matches him thematically, but doesn't necessarily synergize with his kit.

With his current skills, I would say he would be a potentially oppressive solo laner like Ryze. However, I say that with a grain of salt. My biggest qualms about this design are his inability to auto-attack and lack of impactful damage skills.

His inability to auto-attack means he cannot siege turrets which is a HUGE problem since this an objective based game. This also means he cannot control minion wave aggro or push very well or free harass the enemy laner. His only reliable damage option is his Q, and the damage is pretty mediocre. His W's cooldown is too long to be useful, to be honest. It's also very odd that he would have an AD scaling but be unable to auto attack... He also lacks any in-game level power spike from what I can see; meaning he will probably lose any all-in trades that he goes against.

As for his role as a support, his utility is pretty high, but not impactful. Slows don't add the necessary disruption required to peel for your carry effectively, especially against enemies with dashing gap-closers (Riven) or mages that are able to delete your carry with one spell rotation (LeBlanc/Fizz/Syndra). To be extremely honest with you, attack speed debuffs don't really matter as much anymore since most carries buy Lethality and one or two hit you anyway...

TLDR; Interesting concept, but he requires a bit of work.

This looks like a super cool concept and would love to see this style of character introduced. His E seems a little on the strong side, as it amplifies damage from all sources. Also Death Sentence is the name of Thresh's Q so you'll have to rename that when you get the chance. I love the concept and I feel like with a few changes it could become an awesome champion.

I like this champion idea, I think it has potential. That's why I'm going to be so harsh on it's many flaws. Honestly, I think the ult should be changed since it incentivizes a tankier build, unless that was the intention. If it wasn't then it should be changed, and the e should get an ap/ad scaling to reward mage builds, and damage overall. The passive NEEDS a cap, ASAP. It makes them to OP in low elos where ending a game takes longer, and useless in higher elos (like Nasus and Veigar). If you want this champ to be played support, then more power should go into the E and the ult should be reworked to add ap/ad scaling on the heal. If you want them played mid, severely buff the ap ratios. Also, please include ranges and effect durations (Sorry for the plug, but like this: http://boards.na.leagueoflegends.com/en/c/skin-champion-concepts/3vfqRrZV-cat-champion-give-it-nine-lives) Hope this helps.

Wow very interesting job! I liked reading it and it made me think of Zenyatta in Overwatch
