But I would be a hundred times better if it allowed you to spectate your friends match... although I doubt that is possible...

But...but...my data! Where will it go!
And, sadly, it's unlikely to be possible: I believe the Spectate client is built around basically running a modified instance of League rather than a streaming service, so your phone would, in effect, need to have League installed on it. Few phones have room for that, let alone the power to RUN League of Legends.
You MIGHT be able to do a delayed version via having a spectator camera "record" its vision and streaming it like a video, but then you'd lose the ability to interact with the game yourself -- and Riot would definitely need to build new tech to support that.
