Just an idea if anyone wants to do more with it
> First let me start off by saying that I was originally going to rework an old champion concept of main using this new lore that I had created. After creating the lore, I never got around making abilities for the champion, I also thought, what's the point of reworking a champion with an entirely different lore and fighting style? So here I am now, I have the lore and would like to see someone make a champion out of it. I would like to apologize for any mistakes in the grammar and any mistakes that are incorrect with existing lore of the world of league of legends. Feel free to change the name of the champion but please inform me if you use my lore to create something. I would very much like to see what people can do with it.

LORE:
Long ago lived an ancient city known as Icathia. Little is known of this forgotten land other than its reputation for great knowledge and power and its unknown connection to The Void.
As the civilization reached the very peak of their power, their thirst for knowledge could not be quenched, it is then that many scholars gave thought to the idea of an outside world, what this world held however was still unknown. Driven mad by the thought of there existing a dimension unlike ours with unknown beings and unknown lands, the people of Icathia began to research everything they knew about magic, hoping to find a way to open a rift between their world and another. For decades the scholars researched until finally, they had discovered the key to opening a portal. In order to create a portal, the blood of the innocent must be spilled and infused with a combination of life and death magic.
After decades of research, the scholars of Icathia had lost all sense of reason and didn’t hesitate to sacrifice hundreds of innocent civilians. After enough blood had been collected, the scholars began chanting ancient text. The ground began to shake, the sky turned pitch black, and in the darkness, a purple light appeared. Astonished by their achievement, the scholars failed to notice the darkness creeping towards them. Strange beings of incomprehensible power began to pour out of the rift they had created. An all out war had surfaced between the people of Icathia and the creatures of The Void. The battle lasted for days before one scholar had finally found a way to send the creatures back to the void. Leyak, a young scholar and a magical prodigy had devised a plan to forcibly bring all those that passed through The Void. The only way to drag all evil back was to send an innocent human through the portal and chant ancient text. Though not innocent, Leyak decided to make the journey herself, even though the spell would not be permanent. Knowing this, Leyak had written everything she had been able to learn of The Void on several tablets. Once she had physically and mentally prepared herself, she slipped through the portal in the dead of night, hoping her sacrifice would allow repentance for her wrongdoings. As she safely made it through the rift bringing only a sword and some food, she began to cast the spell, spilling her own blood and chanting the spell to bring all the voidborn back through the rift. Once all the voidborn were through, Leyak closed the rift, and began a long slumber.
After a few weeks, Leyak woke up in fear. She wasn’t dead, running around frantically, Leyak had noticed the portal was still closed, this calmed her for a minute until she remembered that she in order to spill her own blood, she had cut a hole in her heart. When she looked to where she had cut herself, she was stunned in fear of what she saw. Instead of where a hole in her chest should be, there was a patch of glowing, purple, solid blood. She did not know what this meant for her, but what she was more worried about was how this got on her. With no supplies or a place to call home, Leyak began to wander through The Void, seeking not only knowledge, but the voidborn that saved her.
After months of scavenging, Leyak had finally built a small home. Everything she learned she wrote down on the walls. Leyak oddly began to feel more and more at home in this life of solitude.
After a few more months, everything went from calm to a disaster. Leyak had begun having nightmares as she slept, nightmares about her home Icathia in ruins, nightmares about the creatures in The Void, and nightmares about possible futures that will happen in the future. With each passing day the visions became more vivid. The pain and misery she saw every time she closed her eyes became too much for her. She had decided she couldn’t live in this fear anymore and grabbed her sword. In her last moments she began apologizing to all the innocent people she had been responsible for slaughtering, all the families she had torn apart, and surprisingly to all the voidborn she had been able to kill while she fought for her life in the void. As she pierced the dried voidborn blood with her black blade, she felt cold, but peaceful, and died with a smile on her face.
As centuries passed, her home in The Void crumbled to nothing, voidborn slipped through the rift that would momentarily appear every couple decades, however the rift seemed to open more frequently now. And as her body lay with the sword through her heart, a strange being passed by. This being was one of the voidborn that had originally crossed over through the rift and back when Leyak closed it. This ancient voidborn had witnessed Leyak’s valor that day and wished to do something for her. It was then he noticed the dried voidborn blood that still covered her rotting heart. Nearing the end of its life anyways, this voidborn decided to give Leyak a second chance to return home as she gave it. Using all of its power, the voidborn used its own blood and fused it with the already attached blood to regenerate Leyak’s cells. Before fading to nothing, the voidborn used its power to enchant Leyak’s black sword, giving it powers of the void. The voidborn lay next to her body as it was being reborn in the void, uttering its last words, “Thank you for bringing me home in times of past, I now wish to return the favor…”
Leyak had now awoken, with knew knowledge of the void and its mysterious powers, no longer frightening visions haunted her, only images of what had transpired during her slumber. Next to her in the ground she found her black sword, however it was different from before. It had a calm, yet powerful aura around it. As she clasped the blade in her hands, she remembered what the voidborn had said before he died. In trying to understand what it meant, she slashed the air with her sword, and suddenly, a rift opened. Realizing what had just happened, she leaped through the portal, returning to where Icathia had stood, however, Icathia was no more. It was buried in the sands.
Wandering around Runeterra, unable to understand what has happened in the many centuries since her time, the League found her and decided to look after her while she learns about what has happened. However while she is told what has happened, she learns that voidborn had unfortunately crossed over. Knowing this, Leyak had decided to research a new method to close the rift permanently so nothing could ever cross through again.
“I know not if all voidborn are evil, however those that are can be dangerous, and us humans can be even more dangerous. This portal must never be closed, or else it will be the end for both realms…” -Leyak
