100 player Battle Royale mode with a top-down view

I think this would be really interesting. It would be the first of its kind and with a fog of war and shrinking storm circle, it would make for some interesting fights. Add bushes, unleveled terrain, houses, possibly dungeons, etc and this would be really cool. Instead of buying items you could find and loot them. Maybe add some monsters or world bosses. Duo and Crew modes would be really, really fun with this whole idea; 20+ teams traversing new terrain and checking bushes with looted wards -- or getting steamrolled because they didn't. So many possibilities and 'tons' of fun!

Inb4 toxic people say there are already 'tons' of battle royale games [sg-shisa] guy in distance shouts "but this one is different!" [zombie-brand-mindblown]

With current tech in the game, not even remotely possible.

It isn't a question of want, it is a question of can. The current tech heavily restricts how many champions the game can support at one time, because it has to load the assets for all champions in play for each game. The game isn't actively keeping all the champions active for each game on active memory, it is only doing the 10 (perhaps 12, in the case for Hexakill), and other such choices to keep the game viable to run on older computers.

This basic idea would have to not be a game mode, but it's own entire game built from the ground up.

You'd have better luck getting a 10 player free for all with a fixed number of lives on each player, and a changed up gold generation system. This would be viable within the context of the current engine, all you have to do is change team number from 2 to 10, and design a new map to support the basic gameplay of it. The biggest difficulty would be having the defeat/victory screen be personal only, not game wide. Once your own personal game has ended, you can just leave freely, or spectate. Hell, technically, you could just leave anytime you want, as the only person who would really suffer in a 10 person free for all is you, as for everyone else it just put them one step closer to possible victory anyway.

This actually seems like a crap ton of fun. I know there'd be tons of logistics and maybe even a whole team dedicated to it, but it'd be suuuuuper fun.

With how often the current ones take forever, I shudder to think of the loading screen time while trying to get 100 players on toasters to load in on one map.

Riot can't seem to make one for all happen, so I wouldn't get my hopes up for this.

Although this sounds really fucking fun, i wonder if people would have FPS problems tho.

This atually seems like so much fun on paper but RIOT doesn’t nearly have the mental for it. “You don’t need to play the game to balance it.” Now imagine these guys making a league based BR game, it will be ugly. This is 99.9% not going to happen because of how dumb the people at RIOT games are.

But i think you should add places of League of Legends not just regulars houses like castles of Noxsus ,Piltover houses and streets ,and Zaun ... That's what will make it cool and worth to play and im sue it will be better then fortnite and pubg if kept with champs like lucian it will be fun to play him in 3rd person

Sounds really fun actually I love the idea of looting to get items and the mosters, maybe after killing monsters you could get an item or gold and harder the monster the better the loot, sorta like an rpg.
