Kora’tan, The Ancient Voice of the Void. Primary Role: Mage
Secondary Role: Controller Lore: Kora’tan is an ancient being of Runeterra, a human girl heavily corrupted by the darkness and horrors of the Void. Kora’tan, known in her human life as Taniil, was a traveller and scholar from Ionia, visiting the great Shuriman Desert. During this trip, she stumbled upon an ancient town, containing a massive set of arches inscribed with foreign runes, foreign even to the Great Scholars of the Ionia. She had heard the stories of the purple glow, known as the Void, heard stories of the men that meddled with it. The men that were either torn apart or corrupted beyond comprehension. She didn’t want to believe those stories. Not until it was too late. Taniil, consumed with her inscription, did not notice the large eyes that stalked here, the large claw that slid out from the portal or the low growl that usually preceded an attack from a beast. The claw wrapped around her leg and dragged her through the portal, her screams cracking the silence that surrounded her until only echoes were left to dance throughout the ruins. Taniil’s screams were silenced upon entering the Void, her throat still forcing air through it, but no sound being produced. This all stopped upon her realisation of where she was. She could only stare in disbelief as the stories all unfolded before her. Twisted creatures, disfigured landscapes and a darkness so evil that even the abyss dare not stare back. Flailing about was useless for Taniil, the monsters grip was too tight. She decided to do the only thing she knew how, read. She read those ever-precious runes, not sure how her mind could understand the language. To her surprise, the beast stopped. It seemed that even a creature of darkness could be made to fear. It recognised the runes and released her, backing away as if she were the monster. She stood and turned, meeting a large hooded figure holding a dark book in a 3-taloned hand.” You, human” the hooded figure projected into her mind. One of its talons pointing to her. “You, who recite our language and survive in our lands” A sharp fear shot though Taniil as she stood, petrified, staring at a dark face and a massive talon. “You….... are worthy” Like the Prophet before her, Taniil was accepted by the Void. She was accepted to be its voice, to project its power in a unique way, not through simple destruction, but through the delivery of ancient texts. Taniil took the Texts of the Ancients and learned how to invoke their power, taking the name of an Ancient for her own. She was reborn onto Runeterra as Kora’tan, screaming as she walked back through the Void portal. Her vaguely human form, a reminder of her past life. Her power, gained through dark grimoires, a promise of her future. With a newly risen monument in the distance, Kora’tan had one calling, bring down the heretic Ascended and raze Runeterra to pave the way for the Void.

Passive: Touch of the Void The corruption of the Void flows steadily though Kora’tan, enhancing the power of her voice. After casting a spell, Kora’tan gains the buff, Void Touched, causing her next basic attack to slow the target by 40% for 2 seconds and deal 10% of their max health as bonus damage. This has a static 7 second cooldown.

Q1: Echoes from the Void. Mana Cost: 60/70/80/90/100 Cooldown: 10/9/8/7/6 after the final Reflective Echo or after 3 seconds Damage: 70/110/150/190/230 + (60% Ap) Range: 900 After a brief delay, Kora’tan shouts in a target direction, damaging enemies. If it hits an enemy champion, she gains true vision of them for 5 seconds. If it hits terrain, Kora’tan leaves an Echo on said terrain and allows the casting of Reflective Echo, costing half the mana of the initial ability, for the next 3 seconds. Q2: Reflective Echo. Mana Cost: 30/35/40/45/50 Damage: 30/70/110/150/170 + (20% Ap) Slow: 40/50/60/70/80% decaying over 2 seconds Range: 900 Cast Range: Global Kora’tan’s Echo fires a skillshot toward the cursor, that damages and slows enemies hit. This can hit another piece of terrain, which allows for an additional cast of Reflective Echo, within 3 seconds of each other, with a max of 3 additional Reflective Echo casts from one Echoes of the Dark. Note: Only one Reflective Echo is allowed on a certain portion of terrain, like Talon’s Assassin’s path, with the cooldown on the terrain refreshing after all Reflective Echo casts have been used or the spell expires. This means that the spell can fire though terrain but the Echo will stop on the terrain. If the ability hits multiple pieces of terrain, the first one hit creates the Echo and becomes ‘disabled’ for future Echoes from the same spell.

W: Lost Words of the Ancients. Mana Cost: 30 per second at all ranks Cooldown: 15 seconds at all ranks. Damage: (30/50/70/90/110*(1Number of Words of the Ancients)) + (15% Ap per Word) Range: 700 +(100number of Words). Max range of 1200. Kora’tan chants for up to 5 seconds, slowing herself by 40%. Each second adds one Ancient Word to her collection. After 5 seconds or on reactivation, Kora’tan releases the Words forward, damaging and knocking aside enemies. This also leaves an Echo at the end of the spell, which, after the same delay, casts the same spell in the opposite direction of the first, pulling in enemies around the blast. The second blast deals half damage if the target was hit by the first.

E: Disheartening Chapter. Mana Cost: 60 at all ranks Cooldown: 14/13/12/11/10 Damage: 50/80/110/140/170 + (20% Ap) MR and Armour reduction: 15%/20%/25%/30%/35% Kora’tan recites a chapter from her Grimoire, lightly damaging enemies in a cone in front of her, lowering their defences in the process and slowing them for 40%, decaying over 2 seconds.

R: Ancient Rite of Destruction. Mana Cost: 120 at all ranks Health Cost: (Total damage done to Kora’tan) *2 as Pure Damage. Cooldown: 150/130/110 Damage: 350/475/600 + (80% Ap) + (Total damage done to Kora’tan while reading) Shield: 150/275/400 + (10% of allies’ max health) Bonus MR and Armour while reading: -100/-66/-33 Cast Range: 1000 Radius: 350 Kora’tan creates a Ring of Void energy and invokes the power of the Ancients. While reading, Kora’tan is weakened and vulnerable but immune to death. Instead of her taking damage, all damage is redirected to the Ring. After 3 seconds of reading, the Ring implodes, dragging every unit into the middle, shielding allies in the process. The Ring then explodes outward, pushing units toward their respective fountains, heavily damaging enemies. Any damage redirected to the Ring from Kora’tan is then, doubled and applied to her as Pure damage, as payment for invoking the power of the Ancients.

not bad. i can definately see this as a sort of mid lane or jungle control mage. but that passive. 10% of max health? thats a little steep dont you think?
