What are the negatives to traditional Sion?

I've never been a Sion player but these new changes have turned me. So after awhile of looking through some Sion posts i see people saying that there won't be a traditional Sion skin.

I haven't been playing League long. All i know is that Lee Sin, Karma and Sejuani all have traditional skins ans that's because they got visual changes. So outside looking in, i don't see the issue to why Traditional Sion can't be made.

Does anyone know the reason why T Sion won't be a thing if so please inform me. Alot of people seem to have their hopes crushed so i was just curious of the negatives that making traditional Sion brings that the other traditional skins just didn't have.

Just curious.

It has exposed bones. Our Chinese Overlords demand censoring of all bones. It's also why Karthus has a special model for China (and the bones were removed during the VU), Smite has been getting a lot of VUs to remove bones from their Gods (They are also owned by Tencent, a Chinese company), and Skeleton King became Wraith King.

I could see it working if they re-skinned the new model.

Riot clearly stated that the old and new Sion are two completely different champions. The only two things they have in common are the name and the skins. Nothing else is the same. However, to let an old champions receive a traditional skin the champion should also feel as the same as before. But this is not given here. As said before: They're totally different.

The main reason that I've seen (although I don't remember where the Red post was) is that Riot feels that a Visual Overhaul (changing a character's appearance instead of updating it) is used when the old appearance is not thematically fitting for League of Legends. They're said that they're actually removing all Traditional Skins in the future, as visual updates should either A: be close enough to the original (or what the original should have been) that a traditional skin isn't necessary (Sejuani), or completely difference enough that the end result is effectively a new champion because the old look is now inappropriate for the game (Trundle, Sion).
