This happened to me a couple weeks ago. on each team, both casted their stun prison in different spots in the lane, but were too close to eachother to see who casted which one, so everyone avoided both prisons (lol). Is there a difference between ally and enemy prison?? Assuming the skins are the same of course.

Yes they are different colors on the pillars, im a veigar main, it is a lot easier to tell with the final boss skin.
