[Star Wars inspired Champion Concept] Bishop the Bounty Hunter

So with Star Wars coming out soon I was thinking about how cool it would be if there was a Bounty Hunter type of champion in League. I started playing around with the idea and came up with Bishop the Bounty Hunter; An Assassin Marksmen who uses a mid range 3 shot burst fire weapon (Think Lulu's pix how it shoots 3 aa's with Help Pix active). He could fit into the lore by hunting down bounties for some of Rune Terra's most dastardly villains (Veigar, Jinx, Kassadin, etc.).

To give you an idea of what Bishop could look like

As any good bounty hunter, Bishop collects credits for cashing in on a bounty. These credits can be redeemed at the shop to enhance his abilities but we'll get to that later ;). First, let's go over Bishop's kit:

  • Passive: Players who have recently scored a kill are marked with a bounty from Bishops Ship lasting 120/150/180 seconds. Securing a kill on an enemy with a bounty will reward Bishop with 1 Credit. Additionally for every 50cs Bishop acquires he gains 1 Credit. Credits can be used to purchase Bounty Hunter Upgrades at the shop.

  • (Q) Deadeye: Bishop fires an armor piercing round at a targeted location that ignores 10/15/20/25/30% armor and deals x damage. Deadeye can be used to explode Gas Cans increasing the radius of the explosion by 10/15/20/25/30%

  • (W) Rocket Punch: Bishop dashes forward knocking down anyone at the targeted location for 1s at all ranks. Bishop will then dashes back to his original position.

  • (E) Gas Can: Bishop lobs a gas can at the targeted location. Enemies who walk over Gas Cans will trigger them to explode causing x damage.

  • (R) Aerial Assault: Bishop initiates the nuke protocol from his ship. After a short delay the targeted area will be nuked causing X damage and leaving the area torched for 2/4/6 seconds causing x damage per second to enemies

Bounty Hunter Upgrades: Cost 3 credits each

  • (Q) Increased Ammo Pack: Deadeye now has 2 charges

  • (W) Rigged Glove: When Bishop uses his rocket punch he will leave behind a rigged glove that is targetable. Bounty Hunter can use Deadeye to trigger the rigged glove to explode causing an additional 1s knockdown. Enemies can disarm the rigged glove by attacking it (1hp)

  • (E) Sticky Bomb: Upgrades your gas can into a sticky bomb. Sticky Bombs can stick to enemies when cast causing 20% increased damage but can only be triggered with Deadeye.

Bounty Hunter Abilities and Inspiration insights:

  • Passive: The idea came from Kindred's ability to mark people and collect the mark for advantages. The purchasing upgrades thematically fit a Bounty Hunter but this was not inspired by GP as GP only augments his ult. This Augmentation is actually inspired by Viktor.

  • Deadeye: the initial concept was a channeled ability with a 100% longer range than Bishop's AA range. This would have been too similar to Cait's Ult but on a lesser scale so I changed it to be a mixture between Cait's ult and Ezreal's Mystic Shot. The interaction with Gas Can/Sticky Bomb was inspired by GP's Q > E combo.

  • Rocket Punch: Combination of Malphite Ultimate and Quinn's Vault. I feel that in order to be a self sufficient marksman you need to have a form of escape or cc. The upgrade to this ability is unique to Bishop. The idea is to Sticky Bomb a Carry, Rocket Punch when they group up, Dead eye the sticky bomb to explode in the group then dead eye the Rigged Glove to initiate the 2nd kncockdown so that Bishops can initiate Aerial Assault.

  • Gas Can: Actually this was inspired by Teemo/Cait. I wanted something that was unique to the Star Wars bounty hunters and gas cans are one of their signatures. The upgrade was inspired by Halo sticky bombs but I feel it would be too much "free" damage if they were to explode automatically. Hitting your deadeye on a sticky bombed target should reward you with massive damage.

  • Aerial Assault: Inspired by 2 things. Cannon Barrage on GP but also the theme of a bounty hunter. In star wars, bounty hunters are always linked with their ships console and I feel like this is something that is very important to Bishop's theme. There are plenty of AoE centric ults that I feel this ability could be similar to but GP is the least of them. If anything I'd say this is a lesser damage Ziggs ult followed by a lesser damage Rumble ult. As much as this ult is damage centric, it's also zone control and ties in with Bishop's other abilities well.

So that's my concept for Bishop the Bounty Hunter. I'd love to hear some feedback and criticism on my concept. Obviously I do not have all the numbers in place right now but maybe some of you lovely people can help me with that :).

Ok, there are 2 things I like and 1 thing I'm concerned about.

What I like- The design is good and it sorta fits in with lore (I get a nice piltover/Zaun feel from him.)

His kit combos together well making him seem to have good burst, I could see Bishop playing both Mid and ADC.

My concern-

His passive: Let's do some math, assume Bishop's main role is ADC. The average number of kills an ADC gets (whether they win our lose) is around 5-11 for all elos and in order to get all upgrades you would need at least 9 kills, and for ALL of those 9 kills, you would need to hope that the enemy champ killed someone first b4 he kills a champ (What are the odds of that? Very unlikely.)

In low elos like bronze he would be good because people die left and right through the whole game. Now in higher elo games and in LCS, players focus more on farm and NOT dying, so making it so Bishop only gains credits by kills makes him useless in high elo games.

Maybe allowing it so he also gains credits every 1oo CS or he gains 1 credit whenever he or an ally gets a "shut down" kill because right now the augments are expensive. This is assuming the bounty hunter can get all 3 augments in 1 game just to clarify.

Other than that, really good design and I would play this. Makes me wish riot would actually read the concept posts.
