I agree that Kalista was a strong candidate for the end of season skins but I simply don't think its fair for her to be considered due to it being her FIRST skin after release.

Elise was given the Victorious Skin despite it being her first skin after her release and the community didn't enjoy that. I hope that Riot has something else soon for Kalista in the pipeline other than this legacy skin.

I REALLY hope that Azir didn't qualify for the Victorious skin because of him being labelled as a marksmen (A Rioter said the Victorious skin would be a marksmen). Considering that both Kalista and Azir are the only champions from last year that haven't recieved their additional launch skin (the 2 quick skins is a release paradigm Riot started with Velkoz) I have reason to believe that Azir will get the Victorious skin. Even if that's not the case, I really am upset Riot didn't do something else for Kalista.

Both Azir and Kalista have such strong thematics, I think they have awesome potential for skins. Furthermore, because both of these champions are fairly asset heavy, I don't think we'll see skins for them coming out often.

You're right, it wasn't a great feeling that Elise's first skin since launch was Victorious, something you needed to be Gold + to obtain. That's partially why we decided to give Kalista Championship, as opposed to Victorious. While yes, Championship Kalista is a legacy skin, it's something any player can obtain, as opposed to Victorious skins where only players who reach Gold + can unlock.

Unfortunately, I can't speak much to who/why we picked x champion for Victorious because it hasn't been announced yet.

I absolutely agree - they have a lot of potential for really cool skins.

Although a champion may be asset heavy, some assets are easier to work with than others. Zyra is one of the hardest to work with due to the number of different models, and the interactions they share. Azir has sand soldiers (but they're all similar) and turrets, but they're still easier to work with. Kalista is more particle heavy, as opposed to models (although she has Sentinels and her Black Spear model, but they aren't hard to work with). Particle heavy is a bit easier, since it doesn't involve making a new model and texturing it, but rather, creating a new particle asset.

The difficulty surrounding the creation of a skin doesn't lead us away from doing it. If we think an idea for a skin is awesome, and we wanted it for Zyra, we wouldn't say no because it's going to be a big project.

I'm curious if you had any skin ideas for either of these champions. ^-^

Remember Championship Thresh? That was his second skin after his release.

Championship skins are buyable, sure it for a limited time, but everyone can get it and it will come back.

hopefully we get 2 adc skins considering im an adc main would love for them to get some love they kind of have been feeling left out this whole year
