Adding a secondary passive on Quinn's R to compensate for lack of escapability

Hello, I'll briefly introduce myself as a Quinn main currently in Diamond V. Quinn

I am excited, as many are, about the new changes revolving around this now queen of map mobility with the help of her companion, Valor.

I am persuaded that her numbers are high enough to compensate for the losses she has suffered in losing damage from her execute and early passive marks, maybe making her even a bit too powerful pre-6.

However, I believe she has somewhat lost something important, which like many others will say revolve around her identity. Her passive, Harrier, was made to deal bonus damage on targets marked by Valor. This passive has been enhanced by her Q proc'ing the passive, enabling her to combo enemies and deal a good amount of burst. Burst has always been in her kit if you combo'ed a Harrier proc and E to proc another one without the enemy being able to retaliate. However, I believe there are times where enemies will be able to breach her fragile invulnerability (especially during ganks or in a duo lane). Which is odd, considering she is supposed to be identified as the most mobile marksman.

Her range is still the same, meaning she is not as potentially strong in the bot lane as she was in the top lane where she reigns as a bully. She lost her escapability from ganks after level 6 by having a 2 second cast time on her R. I would like to fix this issue by giving her a unique escapability trait.

To come back to her loss of dueling power once she hits level 6 similarly to champions like Twisted Fate and Shen which gain global map pressure instead, but with almost instant results, I believe she could use a secondary effect passive on her R that you would have to work for in order to obtain: you would be given the choice (see lower) to learn a new 'ability' that would either give Quinn a blind effect on her next ability or auto attack OR a burst of mobility effect. These effects could be triggered by one of the two suggestions I came up with: 1] enable Valor to identify a weak spot which would need to be hit with Vault (Quinn's E) on the enemy champion in order to add an effect, after triggering Harrier onto the enemy (similarly to Fiora's passive, but by having to weaken the enemy beforehand) OR 2] enable Valor to make an appearance somewhere near Quinn (similarly to how Draven axes function) after she has proc'ed a multitude of Harrier passives onto the enemy in a short lapse of time (similar to Vayne's Silver bolts); hovering over Valor would give her the famous effect. (This option would make Valor appear during a fight, which I believe is an appropriate "Tag Team".)

I believe it would be extremely interesting to have the option to chose between both effects in every game, similarly to how Kha'Zix chooses to enhance an ability with his ultimate. This secondary passive, if we choose the upgrade route, could be available at the second point put into R, (in other words, at level 11).

TLDR; Quinn could use a secondary passive which could either blind or give a movement speed boost, triggered by Valor identifying a weak spot (similarly to Fiora's passive) that has to be hit with Quinn's E after proc'ing Harrier once onto an enemy OR after hitting multiple vulnerable spots onto the same enemy in a short span of time, which would spawn Valor near Quinn for a "tag team" buff if Valor is hovered over by the player. This secondary passive would be a choice the player will have to make according to the enemy team composition at a fixed level, similarly to how Kha'Zix evolves an ability with his ultimate. I chose level 11 for this passive.

What do you Quinn mains or anti-Quinn mains think?

Hi Quinn fan here. How about. If you vault off a target you get 4 sec to activate your ulti with no channel. instant cast. If i vault and am being ganked. i amusing it to get out. Is that fair? It keeps for some chase down and adds a real nice escape if you play it right.

Do you know if they changed her w by any chance?

If I understand it correctly, it might be OP.

Do you mean 'blind' along with her passive? Cause that's kinda OP. Plus if I am not mistaken her passive already gives a huge movement speed buff (from w).

I agree something needs to be done. She definitely needs some CC. But I think the trouble remains that her ultimate is worse than before.

Frankly it wasn't that great; but it was the best escape in the game (and gave Quinn a 3-hit combo).

Now, I just don't get a 2 second channel AND a huge mana cost. It's a lot of movement speed sure, but 2 second channel?

When I see 3 champs coming bot, my 2 second channel (and my immediate break out of my ult) seems like a dumb move.

How many times have I turned into Valor and narrowly escaped a gank, taking damage in the process?

Now I'll take 2 seconds to try to run away and instantly be removed from that flight? That's nonsense.

And if I choose to stay and fight, I have one CC (a tiny slow.)

This new Quinn seems excellent if I only fought against minions.

PERSONALLY, I think letting her ult gradually increase her speed seems way better--also, since she can't attack, not making it cancel on hit would be nice too.

I just saw a game of Corki in PBE and his package makes him go faster than Quinn while not in combat... Ugh... And he has a good ultimate, greater escape and doesn't need to channel anything during two seconds.

I think Riot realizes how much they failed though, Quinn will be fixed for sure.
