[SUGGESTION] Fixing the gaming environment

Instead of making me waste another 5-10 minutes per game with a pause system, making me believe ragers actually get punished by the tribunal, or losing dumb games due to a teammate disconnecting when I was 6/0/14, why not implement a system where you are 'offered' to surrender with half the LP loss in ranked and it not counting as defeat in case you were in promos or close to demoting?

What I meant by 'offering' is influenced by how bots in a bot game will automatically disconnect according to the amount of people disconnected. This means that the game already can identify a DC and react to it. A menu would pop up, automatically (after say, 5 minutes), and offer a lower point-loss surrender. The reason it would only offer the option and not force it is because you might be still winning the game without him or know he'll come back, so it will be fine. HOWEVER, if the vote doesn't pass on, there will be no further message; the game will go on and you will suffer a normal loss penalty. Your call; will you risk it or not?

I'm not done. At the end of the game, another menu will pop up. Was the leave intentional? If yes, the person that left will have double the penalty. Voilà. Dumb tribunal system fixed, trollers calmed down, and happier player base overall.

The menu could still be implemented in normals, but just surrender at that point. Unless it would be just to keep the report option at the end that should be looked at and easier to verify than the current report system. A certain number of offenses will get you banned.

Now here is another important detail: people can abuse this to prevent losses. On a global point of view, this would mean the average player will be gold instead of silver. How to prevent? Four ways:

  1. No menu will pop up if the person that disconnected is in a premade (means there must be a bond of trust between you and your partner and this might also address the issue of feeders in duo queue since I believe they might pair up less often, if only by a bit).
  2. Honesty. If you know your teammate purposely disconnected to prevent loss, accept it, but report him afterwards for cheating. That'll teach him, with double the penalty.
  3. Games won because of this surrender will give less LP if the time has not exceeded the 30(?) minute mark.
  4. The person disconnecting will have a normal penalty even though his team will have a reduced one unless voted otherwise (sorry for you who lag in game, but stop playing ranked and ruining my LoL career :d).

You're suggesting this system for all the wrong reasons. You want this so you do not have to deal with people. Everything sounded good on paper until the end. This system of surrendering should only be for Ranked. If someone left your Normal match, who cares. Your LoL career isn't on the line. You stated, "On a global point of view, this would mean the average player will be gold instead of silver". How so? Where is your proof, evidence, or logic to back this claim up? It feels like you just threw that little "factoid" in there without any rhyme or reason. On to your ways to prevent abuse, 1. That seems reasonable. 2. You cannot expect League players to be hard on one another if that person saved them their LP. Here is the main flaw with your system. At the point you realize you are not going to win, someone bites the bullet and saves everyone else. Those people won't report him because he/she saved their LP. That being said, this system cannot work. Things like this have been proposed before and have fallen flat. 3. How does this make any sense? This just adds to the fact someone can really mess up a game by leaving or disconnecting. 4. That makes sense

All in all, the system we have now is fine. Rioters have stated before for every leaver you've had on your team, there's been one on the opposing team as well. You just gotta roll with the punches and go with the flow. You do not hear pros whine and complain about leavers. No, they stood up and said,"Maybe I keep losing because of me". Now they carry the games and make mad $$$. Grow up and improve yourself before complaining about others. No one cares about your score. They want to see someone who can play stronger in the face of adversity.

That is all for now.
