THEME Malhony, The Spirit of Salvation is an Enchanter/Battle Mage who casts awesome light barriers to aid her teams backline, or assists the frontline with powerfull bursts of vengeful, holy wrath. She is a troubled woman with good intentions, yet her traumatic past has left her moral compass either pointing evil or good with no middle ground. Malhony is rather drastic, fully throwing herself into situations. That is why her kit revolves around either being the dedicated deffender of the team with her powerful Aegis(W) and Divine Shields(R), or an aggresive attacker who throws herself into battle, smiting enemies with bursts of light (Q and E).

  • Two symbols cycle above Malhony. Choosing one upon reactivation will enchant a targeted ally with one of two effects :
    1. Hope: Places a symbol which reduces all damage taken by 2.5/5/7.5/10/12.5%(+0.5% each 100 AP) for 3 seconds. Damage reduction is doubled on shielded allies

    2. Power: Places a symbol which adds 4/8/12/16/20(+5% of AP) bonus damage to the affected ally's auto attacks and spells( bonus damage is the same type as damage source) For 3 seconds. Bonus damage is doubled on shielded allies.

_ Only one symbol can be active at a time._

  • Active: Malhony Consume a Divine Shield charge to place a protective barrier on an ally champion that blocks the first instance of damage in the next 2 seconds. Upon succesfully blocking damage, also grants the target with a shield thats absorbs 100/175/250_(+65% of AP)_ damage for 4 seconds.

Divine Shield cannot be cast on an ally that has recently been affected by another Divine Shield.


LORE

Living in the remote village of Perthlochry at the outskirts of Mount Targon was hard. It was far enough away from the Mountain, but not from the cold and not from the suffering. Malhony knew this hardship well, perhaps better than others. She always had a glow inside of her, growing and growing, begging to be let out, but she could never show her light because of her community's hatred towards magic-users. Malhony knew revealing her secret meant exile at best and tried her best to keep it hidden, only releasing it far away from the village. But once, a few weeks after her twelfth summer, she was at the village marketplace with her mother. The town butcher had seen a boy attempting to steal a piece of sheep shank, furious, he grabbed the boy by the hand and raised his cleaver in the air. Malhony looked around to see if someone would help him, but all were simply staring. She raised her hand and discharged a blinding light from her fingertips which formed a bubble around the boy's hand, shielding him from blade. Suddenly, everyone forgot the scene at the butcher's and surrounded Malhony. They started screaming and cursing her. Soon enough, her mother backed away from her into the crowd and joined the chant. ''Dithlag ego,Dithlag ego,Dithlag ego!''(Evil sorceress!), They screamed untill a man , skinning knife in hand separated from the crowd and went towards the girl. Realising the danger, she bubbled herself and emitted a scorching burst of light towards her attacker, killing him instantly. The group of people quickly dispersed in the ensuing panic and Malhony disappeared in a flash of light. Since then, Malhony wanders the land of Runeterra, offering help to all who might need it, but if anyone tried to harm her after witnessing the way she aided people, the light mage would quickly destroy them. In her eyes, anyone who attacked the person that saved them was deserving of the pain they would have received. In some places she is known as the Spirit of Salvation, yet in others she in not known at all, for there are none left alive to tell the tale of Malhony.

Hey! I saw on the CCOS entries that you wanted some feedback. And you didn't get that much, so I'll try my best to help out!

I'll go in order of Malhony's kit, and then finish off with some general thoughts.

Passive : Vengeance

If a nearby ally champion dies, Malhony can cast a Divine Shield(R) or one of her basic abilities free of mana charge no matter if the spell has has a remaining cooldown.

This is a cool, thematic passive. The one problem with it is that it rewards Malhony and her team for doing a bad job. If Malhony does a good job she won't get to use her passive very often. It rewards her for bad play, which isn't very satisfying and doesn't translate well into gameplay.

Malhony's whole job is to prevent her allies death, so she shouldn't get rewarded for this.

I'll say it now. Malhony has too many shields. You don't want your Twitch to die? He won't. You can stack shields without any punishment.

My suggestion would be to increase shield value across the board and either:

A): Heavily reduce the effectiveness of shield stacking.

B): Completely prevent her from stacking shields.

This change would encourage her to shield more than just one ally and make him immortal. Otherwise you need to remove a shield from her kit. I suggest you go with option A, because otherwise in lane she can't use her shields on anyone but herself once and her ally once.

W : Aegis of ... Mana Cost: 40/50/60/70/80 Cooldown: 10 Range: 600

Three symbols flash above Malhony. When reactivating the ability Malhony enchants her Aegis with one of three effects: Protection: Places a shield which reduces all damage taken by 4/8/12/16/20%(+ 1% each 100 AP) for 3.5 seconds. Power: Places a shield which reduces physical damage taken by 5/8/11/13/16%(+ 1% each 100 AP) and enhances the affected ally's auto-attacks, granting them 15/20/25/30/35 (+0.25% of AP) bonus on-hit magic damage for 3.5 seconds Sorcery: Places a shield which reduces magical damage taken by 5/8/11/13/16%(+ 1% each 100 AP) and gives the affected ally 15/20/25/30/35 (+0.25% of AP) mana every second for 3.5 second.

This is ability, in my opinion, is far too complicated without enough niche.

Your trying to make an effect similar to Twisted Fate's W. However, it's not working out.

Each of TF's cards is quite niche. Blue card is for damage and mana sustain. Nothing else. It is the damage card by far. Red Card is waveclear almost completely, with an necessary slow. Gold Card is for CC. Its got such crap damage compared to Blue Card, that it has its own niche.

For Malhony however, all of the symbols reduce damage and don't quite have such a defined niche.

Sorcery for example, would be good against magic dealers. Except that sometimes you fight a bot lane WITHOUT ANY MAGIC DAMAGE. Like Taric Twitch. Sure there is a little bit of it, but the vast majority of the threat is going to be physical damage. So this symbol is pretty shit now for the entire laning phase. And then the mana regen on this symbol would be better as a sustain Symbol, not an in combat symbol. Also, as a note: giving allies mana usually breaks champions. Imagine if Malhony could invest in as much mana as she wanted and suddenly MF, Lucian, etc. don't have ANY mana problems for free because Malhony took care of that for them.

Protection would likely never be used. It's not much better compared to Power's damage reduction, and Power offers a nice damage boost. Especially when you can give your ally some onhit mixed damage. I suggest you remove Power's damage reduction, change its damage accordingly, and keep Protection the same.

Sorcery also should be reworked. The mana regen is helpful while your just cs'ing, but the damage reduction means you should use it during a fight. And mana regeneration per second isn't very useful in a fight most of the time.

Something like this might work, giving each symbol a form:

Protection: Places a symbol on target ally reducing damage by 4/8/12/16/20% (+1% For each 100 AP) for 3.5 seconds. This damage reduction is twice as effective for shield points on targeted ally.

Power: Places a symbol on target ally, granting them 20/25/30/35/40 (+0.25% of AP) bonus magic damage for 3.5 seconds.

Sorcery: Places symbol on target enemy, slowing them increasingly each second as long as Malhony is in range.

Not to say you have to use these examples, but their a lot more niche and defined.

E : Flare Mana Cost: 75 Cooldown: 8/7/6/5/4 Range: 425

Passive: Shielded allies move 20/25/30/35% faster towards visible enemy champions.

Active: Causes all active shields to erupt in holy energies, dealing 100/140/180/220/260(+80% AP) magic damage in an area around the shielded target.

I'm loving this passive. I've never seen anything like it and it synergies.

The active is pretty neat too, with some strong synergy. This ability is awesome, although I can't be sure on the numbers. The damage, especially the scaling seems too high.

Ultimate: Guardian of Light Cost:1 Divine Shield Coooldown: 1 second Range: 800

Passive: Store a Divine Shield charge every 30/20/10 seconds or when a nearby ally champion is slain, up to a maximum of 3

Active: Malhony Consume a Divine Shield charge to place a protective barrier on an ally champion that blocks the first instance of damage in the next 2 seconds. Upon succesfully blocking damage, also grants the target with a shield thats absorbs 100/200/300(+65% of AP) damage for 4 seconds.

The shield is overtuned for how much damage Malhony can prevent. Otherwise this ability is neat. The first instance damage block might be a bit confusing in game, but it shouldn't be too bad.


Overall I like Malhony a lot. Because she has no healing, and only shields, she won't make the lane a snooze fest by healing any damage dealt. We don't have a shield specialist yet, so this is real cool!

Its unbalanced to have champs that grant other champs bonus dmg

I think you can come up with a better ult, while it does synergize with the kit well its very similar to Kayles ult. The Ult is very important to a champions identity
