A slight Soraka Rework, Satisfy the Old Soraka Players with the New Kit

SorakaSoraka was one of my first champions that got me to really like the game. I loved her old kit, and like most, was nervous when Riot tampered with it. For the most part I really like what you did with her though. Her heals now define her kit (as they should) and you gave her more playmaking potential with equinox. What I miss, however, is her old heal, astral blessing. This ability was very defining to her and truly made her an asset to the team. I do not get this feeling with new Soraka, unfortunately. While her new heal has a higher base heal and is very spammable, I don't think it is too special. Nami'sNami heal applies her speed boost passive and can poke enemies, Sona'sSona heal can heal herself and another champion and comes with a shield aura. The problem to me, is that these two champions are not known for their heal and have other more defining aspects. Since Soraka is the "dedicated healer" hers needs something else. Here is my proposed fix:

Current State: Astral Infusion Cost: 10% Max Health, 20/25/30/35/40 Mana Range: 550 Soraka sacrifices a portion of her own Health to heal another friendly unit. Passively heals Soraka when she lands Starcall on an enemy Champion. Passive: Each enemy Champion hit by Starcall heals Soraka for 25/35/45/55/65 (+0) to 50/70/90/110/130 (+80% Ability Power), increasing based on how much Health Soraka is missing. Active: Restores 120/150/180/210/240 (+60% Ability Power) Health to her target ally. Cannot be cast if Soraka is below 5% Health.

Proposed Change Astral Infusion Cost: 10% Max Health, _30/35/40/45/50 Mana _ Range: 550 Soraka sacrifices a portion of her own Health to heal another friendly unit. Passively heals Soraka when she lands Starcall on an enemy Champion. Passive: Each enemy Champion hit by Starcall heals Soraka for 15/20/25/30/35 (+0) to 40/60/80/100/120 (+60% Ability Power), increasing based on how much Health Soraka is missing. Active: Restores 120/150/180/210/240 (+60% Ability Power) Health to her target ally and applies an astral blessing stack (last 5 seconds before expiring, restarts if another stack is added). After three stacks are placed on an allied champion, they receive a 25/40/55/70/85 armor buff that lasts 2 seconds. Cannot be cast if Soraka is below 5% Health.

In exchange for lowering her passive starcall heal, bumping up the mana cost, and raising the ability's cooldown slightly, Soraka can now grant her allies and armor buff again, which separated her from other supports. With the higher cooldown, higher mana cost, and lower passive heal though, Soraka players will have to be careful on how often they heal and not be too carried away so that they kill themselves to give off the buff. Her ultimate, wish could also apply an Astral Blessing stack to all allied champions.

What do you guys think? Offer any feedback.

I admit, I do miss the armor increase from soraka's heal. However, I feel like if she's going to be league's primary healer and have no other buffing abilities. she just needs better scaling with her heals... just my personal opinion.

i agree to all of the above statements..... i mean... why play raka who is mostly at a disadvantage if focused when i can have nami for more utility, teamfight potential and a heal or sona with all of the above plus lane pressure? raka USED to be a good counter for sona and was a great stepping stone for ppl just starting out league.... now i fear that she holds no presence.... :/

I think this is a really interesting idea, I like it, but I don't like the stacking mechanic. Having it on your ult seems like there is a wasted stack on it because you can never trigger it on yourself unless you're playing a version of urf where stacking buffs decay ~90 % slower than normal...

I feel like just give a stacking armor buff up to a cap. maybe have 9x/12x/18x/24x/30x armor up to x = 3. This would have the third heal give similar armor values after the third heal to what you suggested(27/36/54/72/90 compared to 25/40/55/70/85), but would give a more noticeable armor buff earlier.

Just my thought. I like the idea.

If you played doom the game mode not to long ago. Gailo was one the op doom bots. If you played with Gailo you saw he had a taunt circle that pop then did damage. I think Gailo would be a lot better. If every 3rd Q he hits on a CHAMPION or jungle camps the next Q will do the taunt thing. This upgrade will make Gailo a better support or and Jungler.
