Thanks to all who played the last puzzle yesterday or earlier today! Most answers were simple but some were very creative. I'm impressed. NOTE: If you wanna try the puzzler, look up "Lateral Thinking Puzzler #1"

Here is my full answer: "The man was at a hotel, which was on fire. He used a towel to shield his face and minimize exposure to the smoke. Through his window, he saw the pool. Because the flames were on the other side of his door, he was trapped in and had to go for the jump. So he leaped off his balcony aiming for the pool, but missed by inches." Credit goes to Drathturtle74 for the closest answer on assuming it was a fire-related death.

Here is the next puzzler:

An old but wealthy man was on the verge of dying. This old man was very successful...so successful that he managed and owned an oil rig. With his profits, he built an impressive mansion in the middle of the Arizona desert, which now needed to be passed down. Unfortunately, he had two sons who both wanted the mansion badly. A debate naturally ensued and things were going nowhere for either the sons and the old man. He didn't want to show favoritism for one son over the other, so he decided on a contest. The contest was a horse race to the mansion, but the person whose horse got their second would win. The starting line for this race was in Mexico City, and as a result would take several days to complete. Once the race began, the two sons were moving as slowly as they could trying to remain behind the opposing brother. This went on for days on end. Neither wanted to risk taking a different path than the opposing brother in fear that they won't be able to track his time. What was supposed to take a few days turned into weeks. Wanting to monitor each other, they both, unsurprisingly, stopped at the same, small Indian village one night. An old woman, the leader of the tribe, asked them why they were traveling together if they seemed so spiteful of each other. In response, they told the old woman the predicament that they were in. Once they finished, the old woman paused to think for a moment and uttered something to them. At that point, the two sons dropped everything they were doing and went to the old man's mansion as fast as they could. The question I ask is simple: "What clever statement did the old woman say?"

I will answer questions and give hints if requested. Feedback as always is appreciated. Have a good night guys! Soraka
