My guess about the Blood Moon skins release

I think that the skins in question will be released during the Chinese New Year.

Ionian culture is based off of Japanese and Chinese culture according to the community. The current Japanese New Year celebration date has already passed (January 1st), while the Chinese New Year, traditional Japanese New Year, and other Asian countries' New Years fall on February 19th.

According to the Wiki page, the Blood Moon festival (Festival of Fire), celebrates "the cleansing and rebirth of the spirit." This is vaguely reminiscent of the Chinese tradition to cleanse the house to sweep away ill fortune and make way for good luck

There was a clarification that these skins were not new year skins.

Yeah, they aren't for the Lunar Revel as they are Japanese inspired and the Lunar Revel is Chinese.

I'm feeling they will finally be released this week (at least I hope) now that the snowdown is over.
