Did Master Yi LOSE ONE EYE?

Master Yi's eye?

So classic Master Yi has 7 eyes, forming the shape of a hexagon. All his skins have 6 eyes as well. All but one skin; his Project Yi skin, where it is not clear the number of eyes he has.

Originally, he three eyes on each side and one in the middle. But in his PROJECT skin, Yi's mask does not provide an eye hole for his middle eye, which is hidden.

This sparks debate on whether he cut off his own eye from his own sword. Maybe in the very recent Dreadnova Gangplank skin, Gangplank took his eye. (Check out the Dreadnova Gangplank splash art, he has one normal eye and one freaky eye). Maybe the mask was just poorly made and the designers at Riot F'ked up and Yi's eye is just there all along.

Pretty sure it's official lore that it isn't his eyes, he's a normal human with 2 eyes. Its a special set of goggles that allow him to read a lot of tactical information in combat.

Jax on the other hand, I believe is still 'unknown' if that's his eyes or not. Or if he even has eyes.

Possible his goggles were damaged at some point if you take his skins as a timeline of different stages in his life. Though that seems..unlikely? Considering they are all over the place. Futuristic, ancient past, parallel presents..
